5 UGLOV. Email Notifications
After tasks were moved to chats in Bitrix24, the system stopped sending email notifications about task changes and messages from their chats. Status changes, deadline shifts, or colleague replies in a task now require logging into the portal to check. The 'Email' checkboxes in employee notification settings remain but no longer function.
Other notification features are also broken: chat reactions, mentions in group chats, meeting rescheduling notifications for those who have not yet responded to an invitation, and posts to all employees in the mobile app.
The module restores functionality to these settings: checking the 'Email' box once again triggers an email. No reconfiguration is needed; employees independently choose which events to be notified about using familiar options in their notification settings.
TASKS
— Notifications about status changes, stages (for group tasks), assignees, task creators, projects, deadlines, planned dates, importance, task titles and descriptions, new co-assignees and watchers, tags, and attached or deleted files.
— Notifications about changes to custom task fields, showing the field name and the value change 'was → is'.
— Notifications about new messages from colleagues in the task chat.
The module sends a 'You have been assigned as executor' notification without duplicating messages from the standard Bitrix24 mail system. The logic follows the standard behavior: a message is queued for 10 minutes and is not sent if the employee has already read the event in the task chat. Multiple events for a single task occurring within this period are combined into one short email. Repeated changes to the same field are displayed in a single line as 'was → became'. The email header includes the task number and its project name.
All task participants—creator, executor, co-executors, and watchers—receive emails if the 'Mail' checkbox is enabled for them. The author of the change does not receive a notification. The module starts working immediately after installation. A single checkbox on the settings page disables the entire mailing system. If a Bitrix24 update restores the standard task change notifications, the module automatically stops sending them to prevent duplicates. Task saving is not slowed down because emails are sent via the Bitrix24 mail queue. The non-functional 'View' link is removed from the standard Bitrix24 email regarding task deletion.
OTHER SECTIONS
'Reactions to your messages'—since Bitrix24 stopped generating this notification, the module recreates it. The notification is delivered to the bell icon and via email.
The module sends email notifications in the following scenarios: mentions in a group chat or task chat that remain unread for 10 minutes; new messages to all employees, including mobile app owners and users who have not accessed the portal for a long time; meeting rescheduling for participants who have not yet responded to the invitation; mentions in process comments. Previously, on PostgreSQL, notifications for employees without a specified gender were lost; this issue is now resolved. Edited messages are delivered with updated text, while deleted messages are not delivered.
Email formatting matches standard Bitrix24 notifications, featuring a logo, title, details, and buttons labeled "Open task" or "Open chat". Calendar emails and "New message to all employees" notifications, which are typically sent as plain text, now use the same formatted style. Meeting invitations include "Confirm" and "Decline" buttons. Portal email templates remain unchanged; if the module is disabled or removed, emails will be sent in the original format.
System requirements:
— Bitrix24 on-premise version with the "Tasks" and "Chat" modules installed (including tasks within chats).
— Database management systems: MySQL and PostgreSQL.
— Configured email sending capability from the portal.
General iT can connect “5 Corners. Email Notifications”, install and configure the module, and make sure the integration works correctly.
