The module allows generating links to automatically apply a pre-created promo code when a user navigates to the cart. The link is constructed with a promocode parameter set to the code value. When accessed, the user is directed to the cart where the discount is applied immediately.
The module allows generating links to automatically apply a pre-created promo code when a user navigates to the cart. The link is constructed with a promocode parameter set to the code value. When accessed, the user is directed to the cart where the discount is applied immediately. This functionality is effective for retargeting tasks: ad banners can contain direct links that ensure instant discount application upon arrival.
When needed, General iT can implement “Apply promo code from link”, configure the module and verify it against the current website setup.
UPDATE HISTORY
Improved solution: now the GET parameter promocode can be passed via any link to any page of the store. When the cart is opened, the promo code will also be applied automatically.
New module version: now the promo code works for any cart templates.
Fixed the error "no automatic promo code application".
