The WebP Image Compression module for 1C-Bitrix locates images in specified information blocks, sections, and site folders, sends them to the ANK Image Lab service, and attaches the ready-made WebP copies. Original files remain unchanged. Sources can be selected by site. Exclusions can be set for specific information blocks, folders, and individual files.
The WebP Image Compression module for 1C-Bitrix locates images in specified information blocks, sections, and site folders, sends them to the ANK Image Lab service, and attaches the ready-made WebP copies. Original files remain unchanged.
Sources can be selected by site. Exclusions can be set for specific information blocks, folders, and individual files. The module supports automatic compression or manual queue management. The Queue and Errors section allows searching by the original file name and the resulting WebP file name, viewing results, and reprocessing. The log records processing outcomes and credit usage. Created WebP files can be deleted selectively or all at once; with automatic compression enabled, deleted copies are regenerated.
The module is distributed free of charge. An API key from the ANK Image Lab service is required for processing. Each successful operation costs one credit. The first 500 operations per calendar month are free. Paid packages are available if needed: 1,000 operations for 400 rubles, 2,500 for 900 rubles, and 5,000 for 1,500 rubles.

UPDATE HISTORY
Fixed queue processing on servers where the PHP background agent and the database use different time zones. Task times and retry attempts are now determined by the database clock; pending images are again passed for processing without changing the request limit.
Fixed the determination of the main Bitrix cron in a multi-site installation with a shared core via symbolic links. A task for another site is counted only when the physical core directory matches; the false status "Cron not confirmed" has been excluded. Tooltips in settings have been updated.
Fixed escaping of quotes in HTML attributes when inserting links to compressed images. This resolves a security check warning while preserving the original order of WebP inclusion.
Fixed the determination of the site root after moving the module to /bitrix/modules and in multi-site installations. Background compression and preview tasks are launched from the root of the correct site.
The log displays actual credit deductions; records with zero expenditure are not shown as deductions.
Improved the display of the "Open original" link for available source images. Optimized loading of the deletion and exceptions tab.
