What this solution does

The module addresses the configuration of email senders for sites with CRM functionality or the boxed version of Bitrix24. Once activated, sender management functions similarly to the cloud version of Bitrix24, with the exception of specific operational nuances detailed in the setup instructions.

Message transmission is performed via a connection to mail servers using the SMTP protocol and the PHPMailer library. Account configuration for sending is available in three locations: the site's administrative section, the mailbox settings within the Mail section, and the dedicated mail/smtp/ section.

Comprehensive descriptions of capabilities and setup examples are located on the Installation tab of this solution. Before installation, verify that your hosting provider does not block standard email sending ports 587 and 465, as their availability depends on the mail server configuration.

The site's built-in system health check uses a different sending mechanism and will not reflect the module's actual operation. To evaluate correct functionality, review the sending logs.

This module enables sending emails via an external SMTP server for websites using UTF-8 encoding. Using other encodings may cause issues with the display of sent messages.

The module does not support GSSAPI or NTLM authentication on the mail server.

To ensure email privacy, it is strongly recommended to disable the email logging feature unless it is required for troubleshooting delivery issues.
