What this solution does
The module allows configuring meta tags for specific site pages, including URLs with clean format (CHPU) generated by complex components. If a specified tag already exists in the HTML code, it is replaced; if it is missing, it is inserted before the closing head tag. For each page or URL template, you can define title, description, keywords, robots, canonical, and custom tags such as meta with name attribute, meta with property attribute, http-equiv, and link with rel attribute. Rules are applied based on the URL using exact match, mask (e.g., /catalog/*), CHPU template (e.g., /catalog/#SECTION_CODE#/#ELEMENT_CODE#/), or regular expression. Empty fields in a rule do not overwrite existing values on the page. When multiple rules match, the most specific rule takes precedence. The rules list includes a path checker to determine which settings are applied. Tags are generated in the final HTML after the ShowHead() function call, ensuring correct operation even when the page header is set by a complex component. Rules can be exported and imported in JSON or Excel (.xlsx) formats with options to add new entries, update existing ones (by ID or by site + type + URL combination), or replace all data. Programmatic control of tags is available via the \Custom\Meta\Engine::set() and \Custom\Meta\Engine::addTag() methods in templates or the init.php file. Configuration is performed in the administrative panel under Settings — Custom Meta Tags. The interface supports Russian and English languages.
For “Custom meta tags”, General iT can perform integration, configuration and a final check after installation.
