What this solution does
The module outputs Open Graph tags and Twitter Cards. General values are configured globally, while specific values are set via URL rules. Tags are generated before the closing head tag after the ShowHead() function is called, ensuring correct operation on complex component URLs with human-readable paths.
Rules are defined by address: exact match, mask (e.g., /catalog/*), human-readable path template (e.g., /catalog/#SECTION_CODE#/#ELEMENT_CODE#/), or regular expression. Empty fields in a rule do not overwrite existing values on the page. A specific rule takes precedence over a general one.
The processing order is as follows: general settings first, then the page title and description, followed by infoblock element data, then file properties (og_title, og_description, og_image), and finally URL rules.
For detail pages, auto-filling from infoblocks is available for element name, description, and image. Rule templates support placeholders such as #NAME# and #PREVIEW_TEXT#. On the rules list page, you can verify a path and see which rules will be applied.
If a page already contains its own og:- tags, the module can either leave them untouched or replace them, as configured in the settings.
Management is performed via the administration panel: Settings — Open Graph tags. Interface languages: Russian and English.
If “Open Graph tags” fits the task, General iT can install the module, configure it and verify the result in the project.
