The module allows defining and restricting acceptable file formats for uploads to portal modules. If a user attempts to upload a file with an unsupported extension, the system displays an error message listing the allowed formats. Configuration is performed in the administrative panel, where acceptable file formats are set individually for each module.

The module is useful for portal administrators, infrastructure support specialists, and security team members.
Key capabilities:
Enhanced security. Administrators can block executable file uploads, reducing the risk of malware or viruses reaching the shared drive.
Prevention of unauthorized software distribution. Format restrictions prevent users from uploading installation files for pirated software.
Improved file management convenience.
Restricting uploads to DOC files optimizes subsequent document processing. For instance, when sending documents for approval, PDF versions are excluded. This ensures the file is immediately available for editing without additional conversions.

In the standard Bitrix24 version, when a mailbox is connected in the Mail module, messages are sent not from the mailbox address itself, but via the account address defined by default in the msmtp configuration.
