What this solution does
The Site Expertise module provides comprehensive technical diagnostics for 1C-Bitrix projects. It identifies issues related to performance, configuration, security, maintenance, and compliance with modern website requirements.
Unlike standard platform tools, the module analyzes actual system bottlenecks: database configuration, server state, PHP settings, caching mechanisms, infrastructure, security concerns, and accumulated technical errors within the project.
The output is a detailed report listing identified issues, recommendations for resolution, and an assessment of the complexity required for fixes. Deep-level checks require SSH access to the server.
Database parameters checked:
• Server uptime for the database
• Database file size compliance with standards
• Large packet transmission settings (max_allowed_packet)
• Information block property storage architecture
• Number of abandoned carts
• Volume of viewed product data
• Currency of the database server version
• Time elapsed since the last table analysis and optimization operations
This module identifies database overload, inefficient data storage structures, and potential database maintenance issues.
The 'Server Environment' section checks for available physical and virtual memory (swap), detects unused Apache modules, verifies correct Linux service startup, and monitors the number of free Apache processes. It also monitors the Postfix deferred mail queue. SSH access is required to verify kernel memory management and disk cache settings, detect basic signs of DDoS attacks via nginx logs, validate the use of a secure nginx version, and check server monitoring connectivity. This block enables assessment of the current server infrastructure state, timely identification of overload signs, configuration errors, and potential security threats.
The 'PHP and Runtime Environment' section covers verification of the PHP version, use of igbinary for session storage, analysis of the OPcache buffer state, and opcode accelerator settings. Additionally, it monitors network connection latency and verifies regular expression acceleration (PCRE JIT).
The module verifies that the debugger is not active and that PHP Imagick is correctly used for image processing. This level often reveals hidden causes of performance degradation and excessive resource consumption.
The Bitrix Caching section checks for errors in tagged caching, monitors the size of component, ORM, and menu caches, and verifies the use of proprietary InfoBlock property caching in Memcache. It also validates the configuration of caching control constants and the correctness of composite caching settings. These checks identify inefficient caching mechanisms that directly impact site speed and server load.
The 1C-Bitrix Platform Checks section evaluates the success of the system test, measures the response time of a template-free page, and searches for events, agents, and settings of removed modules. It analyzes the number of third-party page creation event handlers, checks for known vulnerable modules, monitors module license expiration dates, and reviews results from the built-in security scanner.
The checks allow identifying accumulated technical debt, remnants of incorrectly removed solutions, as well as potential security and maintenance issues.
Site checks include:
• Verification of page availability from sitemap.xml
• Verification of current backup availability
• Detection of outdated jQuery versions (1.x and 2.x)
• Identification of problematic images in sections and infoblock elements
• Checking for external counters and services potentially related to cross-border transfer of personal data in compliance with 152-FZ requirements
• Checking pages from sitemap.xml for the presence of external counters and services
This block allows controlling the technical state of the public part of the site, compliance with security and legislative requirements, and timely detection of issues affecting user operations.
The module goes beyond checking individual parameters. It helps identify the root causes of performance degradation, configuration errors, security vulnerabilities, accumulated technical debt, and operational risks before they lead to failures or noticeable project slowdowns.
This is a continuously evolving tool. New tests are regularly added based on practical experience in supporting, optimizing, and auditing projects on the 1C-Bitrix platform.
The module is suitable for:
• comprehensive technical site audits;
• regular project status monitoring;
• preparation for high loads;
• diagnosing causes of slow site performance;
• detecting security issues;
• monitoring server infrastructure;
• verifying compliance with operation and maintenance requirements.
For the “Site Audit” module, General iT can perform installation, configuration and a functional check in your project.
