What this solution does
Cloud Backup for 1C-Bitrix
The Top Man Digital: Cloud Backup module creates full copies of the website and database using the native 1C-Bitrix mechanism and automatically uploads the resulting archives to connected storage services. All operations, including launch, process monitoring, and the list of backups, are available in a single section of the administrative panel.
The module supports creating backups both via a manual button and through a flexible schedule. Available modes include manual creation, daily backups, selection of specific days of the week, as well as intervals of every two weeks or once a month.
Multiple storage locations are supported simultaneously. Destinations include Yandex Disk, Mail.ru Cloud, Google Drive, and remote servers via SSH or SFTP protocols. Multiple independent connections to different storage services can be configured.
The interface clearly displays the execution stages: archive creation, verification, and cloud upload are shown separately. After refreshing the page, the module requests the current status from the server. Closing the browser tab does not interrupt background tasks.
The catalog of completed backups displays the creation date, file size, and storage location. Users can download individual parts of the archive or move an already created copy to another connected storage service without re-archiving the website.
The module automatically verifies the integrity of archive parts and marks successfully verified copies. Temporary network errors are handled via automatic retry attempts; an error is not recorded as a successful save.
Storage management. Service tools allow configuring backup generation retention rules, pinning critical versions, and previewing files before deletion.
Setup wizard. The process includes site preparation, connecting a cloud storage, and selecting the operating mode. For each storage type, the system provides hints on obtaining the necessary credentials.
Standard backup format
The 1C-Bitrix core performs archiving of the site and database. Original parts of the standard archive are transferred to the cloud. Restoration uses the official restore.php script; instructions are located next to each backup. All parts of the package must be downloaded. If archive encryption is enabled in Bitrix, a password is required for restoration.
Cloud storage connection
Yandex Disk: requires an OAuth token with access to Disk files. Mail.ru: requires the full email address and a password for an external application for WebDAV. Google Drive: uses a custom OAuth application and Google account login; the Topman Backup folder is created automatically, and folder ID input is not required. SSH/SFTP: requires the server address, username, password, or private key with the server key fingerprint.
Credentials are stored in the module settings in encrypted form. Archives and service keys are kept in a closed directory outside the public part of the site. Cloud accounts and available space within them are provided by the site owner.
Compatibility: check before installation
Version 1.0.0 supports a verified set of standard core backup files for main 26.150.0. Before running, the module verifies their checksums. On a modified or different core, copy creation is blocked until compatibility is confirmed; support for all Bitrix versions is not claimed.
System requirements: 64-bit PHP 8.2–8.4, Linux hosting with PHP CLI, the proc_open function enabled, and a system cron. Write access to the closed directory and sufficient space for a full archive are required. Actual acceptance testing was performed on PHP 8.3.36 and MariaDB 10.1.43. PostgreSQL is not supported. The interface is in Russian. Configuring server permissions, cron, and directory access may require assistance from the hosting administrator.
After configuration, we recommend creating the first backup and verifying the restoration process on a separate test stand. Successful transfer of the archive to the cloud does not replace the verification of data restoration.
General iT can install “Top Man Digital: Cloud Backup - Website Copies in Your Clouds”, configure its settings and verify its operation in the existing project.
