What this solution does

The Website Maintenance Module switches a resource to maintenance mode, replacing the main content with an informational page. This solution is suitable for scheduled technical work, migrations, pre-launch preparation, and temporary site deactivation. The page features a countdown timer, a work schedule, subscription and feedback forms, and a flexible access control system.

Visual customization is performed without a programmer. Options include editing text, selecting background and text colors, setting accent colors for fields, uploading a logo or icon, and setting a background image or video (including full-screen mode). Ready-made design templates are available.

The site remains fully accessible to administrators and trusted users. Access can be configured by IP address, user groups, or via a secret link.

Search engines handle the maintenance mode correctly: the server returns an HTTP 503 status with a Retry-After header, and the page includes a noindex meta tag. This helps preserve the site's search engine rankings during technical work.

In a multisite configuration, all maintenance page settings are configured separately for each site.

The Kommutator website maintenance module offers nine ready-made design templates: minimalism, split, brutalism, cards, video, parallax, gradient, terminal, and glass. It includes pre-installed color themes and a configurable toggle for light and dark modes. Full customization is supported via custom CSS and HTML code.

Timer and Schedule

The module features a countdown timer to opening with automatic launch based on a set time. It supports a closing schedule by day of the week and time, as well as a scheduler for automatic opening or closing by date.

Access Control

Exceptions can be configured for specific IP addresses and subnets (CIDR). Access can be restricted to selected user groups. A secret bypass token is available to grant access via a direct link that circumvents the maintenance page. Page lists allow settings to show the page only on specified URLs or on all URLs except those listed.

Visitor Interaction

A subscription form allows visitors to sign up to be notified of the opening, with data saved to an information block, CAPTCHA protection, spam filtering, and consent for personal data processing; invitations are sent to subscribers upon launch. A feedback form is available, utilizing either the built-in option or any existing web form on the site. Share buttons are provided for VK, Telegram, WhatsApp, Odnoklassniki, Viber, MAX, and email, with the ability to select a specific set of services. Contact details include email, phone, WhatsApp, physical address, and social media links. Forms are submitted without page reload via AJAX, with a fallback option for environments without JavaScript.

The 'Website Maintenance' module ensures proper operation during maintenance mode. The server returns an HTTP 503 status code with a Retry-After header, while configuring noindex, Open Graph, and canonical meta tags to support correct search engine indexing. Integration with Yandex.Metrica and Google Analytics is supported.

Features include multilingual page titles and text, as well as the ability to dynamically replace content based on the visitor's geographic location or IP address. The system tracks view statistics and logs all requests. Administrators can preview the page in both desktop and mobile versions directly within the settings interface.
