What this solution does
The module supports creating multi-layer watermarks, converting images to WebP format, and performing background image processing. It allows adding logos, captions, or multiple elements to product photos and other site images. The tool helps standardize the catalog style, automatically process new uploads, and prepare existing files without manually editing each image.
Users configure watermark parameters, preview the result, and select target images. Before making changes, the module saves an original copy. When reprocessing with different parameters, the new result is generated from the saved source file.
Watermark configuration includes the following features:
- Adding logos, multi-line text, or multiple additional layers.
- Using a built-in font with Cyrillic support or uploading custom TTF and OTF formats.
- Choosing from nine standard positions, random placement, or specifying coordinates in percentages.
- Adjusting scale, opacity, margins, and rotation angle.
- Creating repeating grids with row offsets and defined intervals between watermarks.
- Configuring color, stroke, text alignment, and line spacing.
- Separate styling and application conditions for additional layers.
The module provides automated catalog processing.
The module allows selecting information blocks, preview and detail images, as well as file properties including multiple ones. For trade offers, image processing from their information block is provided separately. Configuration for processing section images is also available.
Selection rules consider sites, sections, objects, dates, image formats, and sizes. Exclusions allow keeping specific images unchanged.
Automatic processing on supported save events and a background queue are supported. For an existing catalog, batch execution is available via browser or cron, featuring pre-calculation, processing based on calculation, pause, resume, cancellation, and error retry. Job history and reports help control results.
The setup wizard assists in selecting the processing area and watermark parameters. The preview displays the result of current settings before saving. You can verify a single photo or an image gallery by comparing originals with results, including their sizes and file sizes. For a registered Bitrix file, a separate preview by ID is available, taking into account saved settings and image binding.
Originals and restoration
Before replacing an image, the module saves the original to a private storage and verifies its checksum. If saving the original fails, the replacement is not performed. Files uploaded again are recognized by the module based on their content.
Processed images can be restored to the saved originals. The settings include file search, viewing processing results, and downloading the original. During restoration, Bitrix may generate new file IDs and addresses.
Multi-site support
You can set general settings for the entire installation and individual parameters for specific sites, including logos, text, additional layers, overlay area, and processing mode. Sites can inherit general values while overriding only selected parameters.
Features include copying settings between sites, change history, version locking, and restoration after reviewing differences. Settings can be exported and imported along with logos, fonts, and layers, with automatic mapping of objects on the receiving site.
For common images in multi-site mode, separate variants are available for each site.
Image preparation and output
The module processes images by resizing them, applying watermarks, and cropping. Output quality can be adjusted for all operations. When saving, files remain in their original format or are converted to JPEG, PNG, WebP, and AVIF, provided the server has the necessary codecs installed.
The system supports replacing selected images or using alternative variants when displaying content on the website.
Module settings are accessible via the Services → Watermarks section.
Additional configuration parameters are located in the Settings → Product Settings → Module Settings → Watermarks section.
