What this solution does
The 'Intermediate Redirects' module displays a warning page before following external links, automatically wraps external URLs in site HTML output, supports link shortening, and maintains a transition log.
When a user clicks an external link, they are shown a page indicating the destination, a countdown timer, a 'Go Now' button, and a 'Back' link. This solution allows for explicit notification of visitors leaving the site, reduces the risk of the site being used as an open redirector, enables detailed logging of transitions, and provides control over external link handling rules without modifying site templates.
Key features include automatic wrapping of http and https links, customizable warning pages with timers and action buttons, text editing via module settings, selection of ready-made design styles, support for custom HTML templates, and separate configuration options for each site in a multi-site 1C-Bitrix environment.
The module manages intermediate redirects, supporting lists of allowed domains and exclusions based on URLs, masks, domains, paths, CSS classes, and HTML attributes. It implements open redirect protection through URL validation, blocking of private and service addresses, and optional HMAC signature for links. The system generates short links in the format «/redirect.php?id=123».
A transition log is maintained with filtering, data clearing, and CSV export capabilities. Statistics are available aggregated by day, domain, rejection reason, and short links. Rate limits for frequent transitions are configurable per IP address and destination domain. Journal privacy settings allow storing full IP and URL data, applying masking, or completely disabling logging.
Access to settings is available in the «Services → Intermediate Redirects» section or via the path «Settings → Product Settings → Module Settings → Intermediate Redirects».
