What this solution does
The 'Cookie and Consent Management' module for 1C-Bitrix is designed to request, save, and track visitor choices regarding cookie usage.
A customizable consent banner is displayed on the site. Visitors can accept all cookie categories, keep only the mandatory ones, or open the settings panel to independently select permitted categories. After saving their choice, users can reopen the settings using a persistent button or a dedicated link.
Administrators create custom cookie categories, defining their names, descriptions, mandatory status, and masks. Scripts, counters, and iframes are blocked until consent is obtained via attributes.
The banner is automatically added to public site pages. Automatic display can be disabled to place the component manually. Settings allow showing the banner only on specific pages, excluding individual pages, and configuring different parameters for sites in a multisite installation.
The cookie consent management module offers flexible configuration options within the administrative panel. Administrators can edit text content, design styles, banner positioning, color schemes, and upload a custom icon. The solution supports Russian and English localization, keyboard navigation, and compatibility with screen readers for audio interface feedback.
The consent log records the date and time of the action, selected categories, a unique consent identifier, the site address, the specific page, and the version of the text content. For IP address handling, four modes are available: full storage, masking, irreversible hashing, or complete refusal to store.
Any modification to the banner text or category list automatically generates a new version. Log entries are linked to this version via a unique fingerprint, allowing precise reconstruction of the specific texts and categories presented to the user at the moment of consent.
Key capabilities:
- Support for simple consent mode and an extended mode with category selection;
- Unlimited number of custom cookie categories;
- Ability to designate mandatory categories that cannot be disabled;
- Blocking of scripts, counters, and iframes until consent is obtained;
- Automatic deletion of cookies based on defined masks upon category refusal;
- Configuration for automatic or manual banner display;
- Restriction of banner display to specified pages only;
- Exclusion of individual pages by paths or masks;
- Independent settings for each site in the system.
The Cookie and Consent Management module allows flexible configuration of the banner's appearance and behavior, including text, colors, position, and display logic. It supports uploading a custom icon in PNG, JPEG, or WebP formats. A persistent button is provided in the interface to reopen consent settings at any time.
The system maintains a consent log with filtering and export capabilities. An archive of all text revisions and category compositions is preserved, with a configurable retention period for the log. Multiple IP address processing modes are available, along with a feature to filter out requests from search engine bots. Full support for keyboard navigation and screen readers is implemented.
Log data is stored exclusively in the site's database and is not transmitted to the module developer or external services. The site owner independently defines the IP processing mode, record retention period, privacy policy text, and legal grounds for cookie usage.
Settings are accessible via the 'Services → Cookie and Consent Management' section or through 'Settings → Product Settings → Module Settings → Cookie and Consent Management'.
