The IndexNow protocol is a mechanism for instant notification of search engines regarding any content changes on a website. It enables real-time reporting of added, modified, or deleted pages so that their current content appears in search results as quickly as possible.
Without this protocol, search crawlers may require several days to several weeks to detect updates, as they cannot scan every address frequently. With IndexNow, search engines receive timely data on changed addresses, allowing them to prioritize crawling and reduce the volume of non-targeted scanning while searching for new or updated content.
The module provides automatic URL submission via the IndexNow protocol for multiple websites and domains. It tracks changes in information blocks, prices, and configurable properties by their code. All requests are stored in a queue and history, accessible through the admin pages named 'Request Queue' and 'Request History'. The system supports manual link submission with selectable delivery methods and result logging. A mass re-indexing feature allows selecting specific sites and information blocks to resend all associated links. Configuration options include the access key, submission mode, TTL for the queue and history, and the mapping of information blocks to sites.
In the admin panel, the 'Services → Autoindexation IndexNow' section contains tools for manual URL submission, mass re-indexing setup, viewing queued URLs, and reviewing the log of successfully sent links. The 'Settings → Product Settings → Module Settings → Autoindexation IndexNow' section allows full configuration of the key, modes, tracked information blocks, and properties.
The module supports the IndexNow protocol for Yandex and Bing search engines.
