What this solution does

The module automatically configures 301 redirects when elements or sections are deactivated or when their symbolic code (URL) is changed in real time. A mass reindexing function is available to set up redirects for previously deactivated objects. Manual creation of redirects is also supported by specifying the source and destination addresses.

When a product is deactivated, the redirect points to the parent catalog section. A deactivated section redirects to its parent section, while first-level sections redirect to the homepage. Changing a symbolic code automatically creates a redirect from the old URL to the new one.

This solution prevents the appearance of 404 error pages, which negatively impact site promotion. It preserves the effectiveness of external links and eliminates internal broken links.
