What this solution does
The Global IT Content Visual Editor module is designed for creating and editing page content within the 1C-Bitrix Site Management system. The tool allows users to assemble pages from pre-built blocks, modify text, images, and styles directly in the browser without manual HTML editing.
The editor supports basic content elements including headings, text blocks, lists, links, buttons, images, and video. It includes layouts and interactive blocks such as columns, tables, tabs, sliders, and collapsible sections.
Page structure management is performed by moving and copying blocks, working with nested containers, and viewing the page structure tree. Styling settings allow changes to colors, backgrounds, fonts, sizes, and margins, as well as adaptation of the display for various screen types.
The functionality enables the reuse of ready-made sections and page layouts through a template system. For saving work, the system provides drafts, a preview mode, and an edit history that allows restoring previous versions of the material.
Integration with the site is implemented via the Bitrix component. The editor supports editing of text fields and infoblock element properties that have corresponding support. Content managers work directly with the content, while developers are responsible for configuring the connection, managing access rights, and adapting the styling to the site template.
When content is saved, the editor generates HTML code. Site visitors receive only this code and resources from public blocks; the full editing interface is not loaded in their browsers.
Runtime SDK and Provider SDK are provided for developers. These tools allow the integration of custom blocks, configuration of property panels, and connection of data sources. Information from catalogs, employee lists, or service catalogs can be integrated following specific project rules. Implementing the connection of such sources requires manual integration setup by the developer.
Environment Requirements
PHP version 8.2 or newer is required. The distribution includes ready-made JavaScript and CSS files, so building the editor on the server is not necessary. Node.js serves as an additional tool for background HTML regeneration. Basic editor functionality and the display of saved pages operate without Node.js. If Node.js is unavailable, content regeneration can be performed in the browser by an authorized user.
If “Global IT. Content Visual Editor” fits the task, General iT can install the module, configure it and verify the result in the project.
