A module for displaying and adding reviews on a website. Publishing, voting, and filtering by rating are performed without page reload. The module includes an administrative panel and allows moderation directly on the public review page. When a new review is submitted, an email notification is sent with the URL of the page where it was posted.

The module includes an administrative panel and allows moderation directly on the public review page. When a new review is submitted, an email notification is sent with the URL of the page where it was posted.
Any user can submit a review by providing a name, rating, and text. An unlimited number of photos can be attached to each review and viewed in an enlarged format upon clicking. The submission form is protected against spam without requiring a CAPTCHA.
Additional reviews can be loaded via a 'Show More' button without refreshing the page. Content can be filtered by specific rating to display only positive or negative reviews. The module also supports enabling a voting feature, allowing users to rate the usefulness of reviews.
The universal reviews and comments module allows users to reply to existing reviews. Photos from the profiles of authorized users are displayed. Installation is equally simple on any page, whether it is a contact page, a detailed news article, or a product card. A separate component is available to display only the rating stars. The review submission form can include additional fields for email, phone number, and sections to list pros and cons.
Technical specifications
Reviews are bound by URL. The server-side code is optimized: with a site performance index of 40, the average time to load 100 reviews is 0.1 seconds, to add a review is 0.1 seconds, and to vote on a review is 0.1 seconds. The client-side code does not rely on heavy third-party JS plugins; all scripts are custom-written to ensure fast page loading. The solution supports UTF-8 and Windows-1251 encodings. The code is clean and well-structured. It supports the Composite Site technology.
When needed, General iT can implement “Universal Reviews and Comments”, configure the module and verify it against the current website setup.
