What this solution does

An action for the Business Process Designer that enables updating fields in any CRM entity. It allows modifying fields of one entity directly from a business process triggered on a different entity.

When developing complex business processes, users often encounter limitations of the standard functionality. A key restriction is the inability to directly update fields of an entity from a process running on another object. With standard tools, changing data in another entity requires launching a separate business process.

For example, if you need to update the 'Responsible' field in a Company or Contact from a process triggered on a Deal, the standard approach requires creating an additional process. This solution allows performing the update within a single process, simplifying the logic and making the business process structure more intuitive.

This module enables modification of fields in any CRM entity within business processes. For instance, when a Deal moves to a new stage, a new responsible user can be automatically assigned to associated Contacts and Companies. It also supports updating fields in Invoices and Quotes, which are often generated inside business processes.

Previously, changing data such as document status, payment terms, or other parameters required manual editing. Now, these actions are performed automatically when specified conditions are met. To use the tool, you only need to specify the ID and type of the target entity, then select the required fields. The reset of multiple field values is also supported.

The activity is designed for the on-premise version of Bitrix24.
