What this solution does
The Xlogic Recurring Order module enables subscription-based recurring purchases. A customer activates the 'Repeat this order' option once, after which the system automatically generates identical orders at a specified frequency: weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly. This eliminates the need for manager reminders, prevents customer loss due to forgotten purchases, and reduces cart abandonment.
The functionality is ideal for regularly consumed goods such as pet food, drinking water, coffee, baby food, household chemicals, cosmetics, vitamins, and office supplies. Items that run out on a schedule are now sold automatically on that same schedule.
Benefits for the store:
Automated repeat sales. Each subscription generates recurring orders, making revenue predictable and simplifying procurement planning.
Improved customer retention. Subscribers do not switch to competitors because the next order is already placed with you.
Flexible discount system. A new standard cart rule named 'Auto-order by subscription' has been added. You can set a discount, for example 5%, on each repeat order and display this offer automatically during checkout.
Reduced manual workload. Managers no longer need to call regular customers; new orders appear in the list automatically while preserving delivery and payment terms.
Benefits for the customer
A subscription is created in a second: simply check the box and select the frequency during checkout or click the button on the order page in the personal account.
Full control in the personal account. The buyer can skip the next order, reschedule it to a convenient date, change the frequency, quantity of items, address, or phone number, and pause or cancel the subscription without calling the store.
No surprises. A few days before the order is placed, an email arrives with the composition and cost based on current prices. If the price changes significantly, a separate warning is sent so the buyer can decide.
The module operates reliably. Prices and discounts are applied on the order day according to your store's cart rules.
Trade offers and item properties such as size, color, or engraving are preserved, along with the pickup point and additional delivery services.
If an item is out of stock, the order is placed without it or waits for restock, depending on your settings. The buyer is notified via email.
If an order fails to process, the module retries. After several failures, the subscription is automatically stopped, and both the buyer and manager are notified.
If the agent was unavailable, the buyer receives only one current order, not a backlog of missed ones.
Duplicate orders are impossible: scheduled automatic launches and manual launches by a manager do not overlap.
Automatic Order Recurrence
Manager Convenience
All subscriptions are managed within the Store section. The interface supports filtering by status, customer, and order, along with options to pause, resume, cancel, or manually create orders.
Subscriptions can be created on behalf of a customer using their order number.
A complete history is maintained for each subscription, recording who made changes, when they occurred, which orders were generated, and which emails were sent. This provides full transparency for support teams and dispute resolution.
All notification texts utilize standard email templates that can be customized to match your company's tone.
Four-Step Setup
1. Install the module.
2. Enable the Repeat this order option in settings. No changes to the order template are required.
3. Create a subscriptions page in the personal cabinet using the ready-made code provided on the Connection tab.
4. Optionally, apply a discount to automatic orders using a cart rule.
System Requirements
The Internet Store and Trade Catalog modules are required. Order processing must be based on the sale.order.ajax component or templates derived from it. The module agent creates orders once per hour. To ensure precise scheduling, it is recommended to configure the agent to run via cron.
