News Aggregator Lite

What this solution does

The module automatically aggregates records from RSS feeds and saves them to the site's information blocks. The user only needs to configure the display of this content on the public part of the site. Many websites already have built-in RSS feeds ready for immediate use. For sources without native support, third-party conversion services can transform various content types, including Telegram channels, Twitter, and VK, into RSS format.

The module allows configuration of keyword and stop-word filters for record selection, choice of storage format (HTML or plain text), and setting of update intervals. There is no limit to the number of RSS channels that can be added for aggregation. Additionally, the aggregator extracts images from the feed and the full text of the news using the yandex:full-text tag, optimizing the content for publication on Yandex Zen.

This module is particularly useful for promoting websites on 1C-Bitrix in search engines, whether by site owners or independent SEO specialists.

The 'News Aggregator Lite' module automatically generates up-to-date summaries of useful information. It supports automatic internal linking and increases the weight of key pages, aiding in SEO optimization. Regular content updates via the module positively impact search engine rankings, as algorithms take into account the frequency of site updates.

Content aggregation depends on the source: the system retrieves the text posted by the channel owner. Typically, this is an excerpt. If the source provides the full news text (via the yandex:full-text tag), it is also aggregated. The excerpt is saved to the summary description, while the full text is saved to the detailed description.

When saving a news item, a 'Source Link' property is created, pointing to the original publication on the author's website.

Images from the channel are saved on the user's server and displayed in both the detailed image and the summary image, provided they exist in the source.

The display method for aggregated news is configured separately.

News items are stored in an information block, allowing you to display them using any convenient component, whether built into the module or a standard Bitrix component (news.list). You can configure each news item to appear on its own page or use a single general page. The display can show either a summary or the full text of the article.
