What this solution does

The module aggregates entries from RSS feeds and saves them to site info blocks. Display of the content on the public part of the site is configured separately.

Many resources provide ready-made RSS feeds. For sources without native support (Telegram channels, Twitter, VK), third-party conversion services can be used, such as RSSHub, RSS Bridge, VKRSS, politepol, Feed43, Zapier, IFTTT, or Notifier. Some solutions require the involvement of a web developer.

Module settings include:

• filtering entries by keywords and stop words;

• choosing the save format: HTML or plain text;

• configuring the update interval;

• automatic internal linking based on specified phrases and URLs of your site.

There is no limit on the number of RSS channels that can be added. The aggregator also extracts images from the feed and the full text of the news (including from the yandex:full-text tag), which is convenient for publishing on Yandex Zen.

Is the full text or the summary aggregated?

The module saves the text exactly as provided by the channel owner. Typically, this is a summary. If the channel offers the full news text (via the yandex:full-text tag), it is also aggregated. In this case, the summary is saved in the summary description field, and the full text is saved in the detailed description.

Is the source link preserved?

Yes. The element includes a "Source Link" property containing the URL of the page on the author's website where the news is published in full.

Are images preserved?

Yes. If images are present in the channel, they are saved to your server and used in both the detailed image and the summary image.

Collected news is stored in an information block, allowing you to display it using any convenient component. Both components built into the module and standard Bitrix components, such as news.list, are supported. You can configure each news item to appear on a separate page or create a single general page. The display can be set to show either a teaser or the full text of the material.
