What this solution does
The module automatically determines the visitor's location based on their IP address and offers city selection in a stylish popup window. It is available in all platform editions.
Key features include automatic location detection by IP address, domain, or website, along with automatic redirection to specific domains and subdomains, including external resources. The system supports auto-filling the location field, including during the checkout process.
The city selection window is adaptive with flexible logic settings. The IP address database updates automatically and can also be refreshed manually via a button in the module settings. A confirmation popup allows users to verify or change their selected city. Display behavior is configurable: show only on the first visit, until the user closes it, or hide entirely.
The module offers extensive customization options to match your site's design, content replacement based on the selected city, and region display for cities with duplicate names. It supports displaying a list of favorite cities within the modal window. Additionally, it provides automatic placeholder replacement with the current location and associated content.
The module provides dynamic display of infoblock elements based on user location determined by IP address. A dedicated infoblock named 'Locations -> Content' manages these settings, allowing elements to be linked to a location name and ID, as well as to a site ID. This enables the display of any geographically dependent data and its association with specific sites. Elements are easily retrieved via the module's API; the interface description is available in the 'Installation' section.
The module core is built on the D7 platform and supports composite rendering.
Location data is automatically inserted into the 'Location' type field during the checkout process. The module also allows replacing the standard location selection component template with a custom, more convenient interface.
The functionality is designed for SEO optimization through location-based content. Unique titles, meta descriptions, phone numbers, delivery options, and other necessary data can be configured for each city individually.
The module automatically detects the visitor's city upon page load and passes it to the checkout component. This allows immediate display of delivery and payment options with regional restrictions.
For instance, if the city is detected automatically when a user visits the site, adds an item to the cart, and proceeds to checkout, the checkout page will display the current city along with only the delivery and payment options available for that location.
Location detection relies on the local Sypex Geo database without external service requests, ensuring high performance. All queries to the location database are cached, further improving speed.
The module is compatible with all system editions.
In the Business and Small Business editions, the list of populated places is drawn from the Internet Store module. In lower editions, the default list includes cities from Russia and Ukraine from the solution's internal database.
