Editor in the Admin Panel
The editor features a site root tree, file tabs, and syntax highlighting for PHP, JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, and HTML. It includes search within the /local directory, light and dark themes, adjustable panel widths, and a dedicated full-screen tab. The editor functions independently of AI connectivity.
Assistant with Model Selection
Site tasks are discussed in a chat interface. The assistant reads permitted files in /local, accounts for the Bitrix structure, and suggests modifications to components, templates, and handlers. Model selection occurs directly in the chat: GPT-4.1 mini and Claude Haiku 4.5 are available at launch via the Rant service.
Controlled Edits
AI generates suggestions. Both the original and proposed text are visible before application. Upon saving, the file version is verified and a backup is created; rollback is available if the file has not been modified since the suggestion was generated. AI read and write operations are restricted to the /local directory, with core access blocked. Administrators may view permitted text files outside /local.
Content and Products
The module enables the creation of new draft cards and simple products within permitted information blocks. Version 1.0 supports only basic structures: it lacks SKU, pricing, images, additional required properties, and does not allow publishing or editing existing records. Further field population is performed using the standard Bitrix editor.
The working context supports up to 6 files from the /local directory with a total size of 64 KB. The system provides current code and explicitly marked unsaved edits; file sources are visible in the chat. When the limit is exceeded, older messages are removed from the context with a notification, while the conversation history remains within the session.
Agents and administrators can check PHP syntax via CLI without executing code, view Git status and diffs for selected files, and search for text. Draft checking is available directly in the editor. The status, iblocks, and elements commands operate through the Bitrix API. Working with PHP and Git requires installed programs and proc_open support; process execution is limited to 5 seconds with a 32 KB output cap. Arbitrary shell commands, SSH, script execution, and SQL queries are not supported.
The code editor and AI executor module for Bitrix by developer Rant is available free of charge. An external Rant service personal key is required for AI functionality. In version 1.0, the key is provided free of charge by support with an individual quota. Access is not unlimited. There are no automatic deductions or built-in payment systems. The list of available models depends on gateway availability.
Upon administrator consent, messages, selected code, drafts, check outputs, and data from allowed information blocks are transmitted to Rant and the Timeweb AI provider. Users should not transmit personal data or secrets.
Requirements include administrator rights, PHP 8.2 or higher, cURL and mbstring extensions, MySQL or MariaDB database, UTF-8 encoding, Bitrix main module version 23.0.0 or higher, write access to the /local directory, and outgoing HTTPS connectivity. For long-running tasks, PHP-FPM and proxy timeouts of at least 250 seconds are recommended. The maximum file size is 256 KB, with up to three suggestions per request and a log limit of 2000 operations. Work is performed in the document root of the open admin panel; resources for different physical roots must be installed separately. Boxed Bitrix24 and PostgreSQL support are not declared.
The executed PHP runs with the site's PHP process permissions. Editor path restrictions do not constitute an execution sandbox; therefore, suggested code must be verified before use.
General iT can install “Code Editor and AI Executor inside Bitrix”, configure its settings and verify its operation in the existing project.

Log in to your Rant account without manual API keys; shared trial access, model catalog, balance, and pricing at ai.rant.ae.
Edit index.php, public sections, and /local. Core protection remains intact.
Analyze /bitrix/templates and copy the template to /local/templates via a preliminary plan, preserving the original and replacing direct resource paths.
To save files, an accessible PHP temporary directory outside the site root on the same file system is required (sys_temp_dir or the site root's parent directory).
When updating from 1.0, you must log in to your Rant account. The log and files are preserved.
Important: The server-side component for the new login at ai.rant.ae is not yet enabled. Until it is deployed, login without keys and AI functionality are unavailable in version 1.1.0. The version is uploaded as alpha and is not intended for production sites. The file editor is available without AI.
