What this solution does

The Qwelp: Smart Search module helps visitors find products by name, article number, and selected properties. Suggestions appear during input, while the results page displays found products and sections.

Links to products and sections are generated according to Bitrix information block settings. If the site uses a custom URL structure, custom link templates can be configured in the module settings for the specific site and information block.

The Qwelp Smart Search module accounts for visitor access rights and data activity status during search. Popular queries are available only from a list explicitly authorized by the administrator. If a query is too broad or lengthy, the module suggests refining the search.

The solution uses standard 1C-Bitrix platform tools and its own resources. Other Qwelp modules or external search services are not required for core functionality.

Installing and integrating search into an existing site template requires Bitrix configuration skills. Styling can be modified via component templates.

Technical requirements: PHP 8.2+, UTF-8 encoding, MySQL 8.0+, main module version 23.0.0+, and standard iblock and search modules. The catalog module is required for displaying prices and trade offers. Recommended editions for online stores are Small Business and Business.

Performance depends on catalog volume, selected fields, and server capabilities. Typo correction is limited and does not guarantee fixing every word. Before connecting to a large catalog, verify indexing and server load.

Form history is stored locally in the user's browser, while the search query log is kept in the site's database. Administrators configure the retention periods for this data. Since visitors may enter personal information into the search field, access rights to analytics and the journal storage policy must account for privacy implications.
