What this solution does

The SEO Helper module by WebMixer is designed to simplify technical site optimization. The tool is useful for both SEO specialists and developers, helping to reduce time spent on routine tasks and coding.

The module provides full control over TITLE, DESCRIPTION, H1, and ROBOTS meta tags. Individual values can be assigned to specific URLs, overriding settings from information block templates. This is necessary when unique meta tags are required for certain categories without inheriting parameters from lower hierarchy levels. Meta tag lists can be prepared in a table and imported via a CSV file.

Functionality includes automatic addition of the CANONICAL tag to all pages, with the ability to specify unique values for individual URLs. The module also supports cleaning the KEYWORDS tag across the entire site. Additionally, it allows for adjusting meta tags on the 404 error page.

Redirect management covers general rules and lists that support address templates in addition to specific URLs. All lists (redirects, canonicals, meta tags) support import and export via CSV files. The module automates the generation of the standard SITEMAP.XML file.

The module allows inserting any tags, counters, and code fragments into the site code. Each element can be placed at the beginning or end of the HEAD or BODY sections.

The module provides technical URL processing and rule-based redirects. It supports standardizing addresses by adding or removing the WWW prefix, enforcing HTTP to HTTPS redirection, stripping index.php, index.html, and index.htm filenames from the end of paths, and managing trailing slashes. The system corrects duplicate slashes, removes redundant ampersands and question marks, and clears empty parameters from URLs.

Exceptions can be configured for specific cases: Bitrix short links, system folders (bitrix, local, upload), addresses matching defined masks, and specific URL keys. If a redirect chain leads to a 404 error, the module returns the error directly without further redirections.

The module also supports list-based redirects using regular expressions. The mechanism functions similarly to the PHP preg_replace function, allowing dynamic construction of new URLs from old ones.

It supports domain redirects with regular expression capabilities to redirect from subdomains to the main domain, as well as static redirects mapping old URLs to new ones. The list of rules can be uploaded and downloaded in CSV format via the admin interface.

The redirects from information blocks feature allows automatic population of the redirect table based on information block data. Users define templates for generating old and new URLs for sections and elements. This is useful when changing URL structures for a specific section, enabling mass creation of redirects without manual editing in spreadsheets.

The module offers flexible management of CANONICAL tags. Options include setting tags for all site pages, excluding pagination pages, applying rules only when query parameters are present in the URL, or ignoring specific parameters. Additionally, specific CANONICAL tags can be defined for individual addresses via a list.

Management of meta tags is also implemented.

The module enables manual assignment of TITLE, DESCRIPTION, H1, and KEYWORDS values for any selected URL using lists.
