The UTM and short links module from Kommutator.net provides tools for managing shortened addresses. The link list includes filters, target URL verification, and a transition log. The system automatically counts unique visitors and provides an analytical dashboard. It supports importing short links from CSV files with a preview function, as well as exporting links and statistical data in the same format. For each link, you can generate a QR code with customizable colors for the code and background, then export all codes in a ZIP archive. Bulk operations on links are supported, along with a filter for bots, preview bots, and suspicious traffic, a log of blocked clicks, and settings for the data retention period.
UTM sets allow you to save UTM tag parameter sets in advance for quick application to new short links.
When creating a short link, you can specify the name, link code, target URL, site association, short link domain, UTM set, redirect type, folder, tags, activity period, transition limit, and Fallback URL. If the link code is not specified manually, the module generates it automatically.
The analytical dashboard displays the number of transitions for the selected period, the number of unique visitors, the average number of transitions per day, statistics on blocked clicks, the count of active links, and links with transitions. It also includes rankings of top links, top UTM sets, and top referers, as well as transition dynamics by day, week, or month.
Short links are imported by uploading a CSV file.
The module generates QR codes for short links. Supported formats include SVG and PNG (requires the PHP GD extension). Users can configure the code color, background color, size, margin, and add a caption below the image. Individual files can be downloaded, or a ZIP archive can be generated for bulk export (requires the PHP ZipArchive extension).
To protect statistics from unwanted traffic, the module includes spam protection filters. These block requests from bots identified by user-agent, preview bots from messengers and social networks, as well as internal IP addresses and CIDR subnets. The system limits repeated clicks on the same link from the same IP and user-agent, and enforces a click limit per IP address per minute. All blocked transitions are recorded in a separate log.
Module management is available in the Administration Panel under Marketing → UTM tags and short links. Additional configuration settings are located in Settings → Product Settings → Module Settings → UTM tags and short links.
General iT can connect “UTM and short links”, configure it and verify the integration with the existing website.
