What this solution does

A centralized hub for managing website settings on the 1C-Bitrix platform.

The module moves frequently changing parameters from PHP templates into the administrative panel. After initial setup, phone numbers, links, signatures, toggles, dates, and other values can be edited without modifying template code.

Version 2.0 introduces strict data types, JSON storage, and a new typed PHP API. Detailed release notes are available in the "What's New" section.

Configurable items:

- website contacts and details;

- headers, button labels, links, and service texts;

- enabling and disabling elements or blocks;

- dates, times, and list options;

- distinct values for different websites.

Key features:

Multi-site support. Settings are bound to specific sites and sections, such as base, header, footer, or contacts.

Intuitive structure. Parameters are organized into sections and semantic groups with names, tooltips, sorting, and activity controls.

Typed values. Supported types include string, boolean, enum, date, and time.

Versatile editors. Input options include single-line and multi-line fields, checkboxes, dropdown lists, calendars, and time pickers.

The module provides linked settings where a logical switch controls the visibility of dependent fields. Values are cached using both the module's own mechanisms and the 1C-Bitrix platform; the cache is automatically cleared after data changes.

For developers, the main interface for version 2.0 is the Kokhanenko\Settings\Settings class. An example of retrieving a value is Settings::get('base', 'siteName', 's1'). Methods Settings::all(), Settings::has(), Settings::selectedOptions() and shorthand calls like Settings::base() are also available. If the site identifier is not provided, the default site is used. The module is designed for storing small site parameters and does not replace information blocks, high-load blocks, catalogs, or page builders.

When needed, General iT can implement “Kokhanenko: Site Settings”, configure the module and verify it against the current website setup.

UPDATE HISTORY

What’s new

4 releases
2.0.0 (17.09.2026)Latest update

Strict data types for settings have been added: string, boolean (yes/no), list value, date, and time.

The data type is separated from the editing method: the module validates the value before saving and returns it according to the selected type.

Changing a setting parameter and saving its value are now separate operations. The familiar structure of the administrative interface has been preserved.

A new software interface for developers has been added — Kokhanenko\Settings\Settings — to retrieve typed site settings values.

When updating from version 1.1.3, existing settings and values are automatically converted to the new format while preserving sections, site bindings, activity status, and dependencies.

Before migration, source data is validated; after migration, the result is verified. An interrupted update can be restarted.

Before updating, create a synchronized backup of the site files and database. Reverting after the data structure change begins is possible only by restoring both backups.

1.1.3 (27.05.2026)

The main settings repository has been migrated from SQLite to the Bitrix database.

ORM tables, a service layer, migration of legacy data, and settings caching have been added.

The legacy DbSettings and DbSettingsTypes classes are retained as compatibility wrappers around the new service layer.

AJAX permissions, CSRF scenarios, input data validation, and HTML escaping in the admin panel have been strengthened.

CSS/JS loading during module installation in /local/modules and /bitrix/modules has been fixed.

1.1.2 (03.04.2026)

A new settings type model for multi-site support has been added, featuring global and site-local types.

Global types can be hidden at the site level via a blacklist mechanism without deleting data on other sites.

A "Manage Types" mode has been added, including the ability to connect hidden groups and new scenarios for adding or removing types.

Controllers and the administrative interface have been updated to ensure correct operation of actions within the context of the current site.

A module controller configuration file has been added, resolving an error regarding duplicate class declaration upon re-executing install/index.php.

1.1.1 (03.03.2026)

The module menu has been moved under the general vendor section "Kokhanenko" in the administrative panel.

Support for the vendor's general menu structure has been added without duplicating the root button.

Styles and an icon for the vendor button in the administrative menu have been added.
