Automatic subscription to mailing lists upon registration

What this solution does

The itd.autosubscribe module automatically subscribes all new users to selected mailing lists immediately upon registration. This eliminates the need for manual checkbox selection and prevents missed subscriptions caused by human error or manager oversights when choosing categories.

The system ensures instant activation of the subscription the moment a user registers, without waiting for email confirmation. Subscriptions are created with a confirmed status (CONFIRMED = Y), guaranteeing immediate receipt of mailing content.

The functionality supports simultaneous subscription to multiple categories, including news, promotions, and product updates. Category settings are managed via the administrative panel. The module operates correctly in multilingual and multisite environments based on 1C-Bitrix, allowing for individual subscription settings to be configured for each site within a single installation.

The module automatically creates subscriptions to selected categories when a user registers. If a subscription already exists, no duplicate is created; the existing record can be updated via settings. The functionality can be disabled for any site through the settings without uninstalling the module.

Upon registration, the system immediately creates a confirmed subscription (status CONFIRMED = Y). The user does not receive a confirmation email and starts receiving newsletters immediately, as their email address is already provided during registration. No manual intervention is required.

From a legal perspective, automatic subscription to promotional newsletters without explicit consent may violate Article 18 of the Federal Law 'On Advertising'. Separate consent is not required for service notifications (order status, delivery). For promotional newsletters, a consent clause must be added to the registration form or the offer agreement.

The solution is suitable for online stores, corporate portals, and news sites on the 1C-Bitrix platform that feature user registration and email newsletter functionality.

The module provides automatic subscription to mailing lists for users at the moment of registration. It fully complies with Bitrix standards and is installed via the standard installation process from the Marketplace.
