What this solution does
The module adds an Import from file button to the Products tab in CRM cards. The list of items is loaded from a table in a few clicks without manual data entry.
The functionality is available in deals, leads, and smart processes, including digital workspaces.
The import process includes the following steps:
File upload. .xlsx or .csv files can be dragged into the window or selected from the computer. The first row of the file must contain column headers.
Column mapping. Specify which columns contain the product name, quantity, and price. If a column header matches a field name, the module selects it automatically.
Preview. Before uploading, the list of items and the values to be added are displayed.
Upload. Items are added to existing records without deleting old ones. The list updates without page reload.
Format support:
Excel (.xlsx). The first sheet is processed. Dates are converted to the DD.MM.YYYY format.
CSV. Encoding (UTF-8 with or without BOM, or Windows-1251) is detected automatically. The delimiter (comma, semicolon, or tab) is also determined by the system. Cells with line breaks and quotes are read correctly.
Numbers. Numbers with a comma as the decimal separator are recognized.
Numbers may be written using a dot as the decimal separator and spaces to separate digit groups.
Default values. If the quantity is not specified, the value 1 is used. If the price is not specified, the value 0 is used. Rows without a product name are skipped.
Additional product fields
If the Gigabyte: Custom Product Fields for CRM module (gigabyte.productfields) is installed, its fields appear on the mapping step. This works in pipelines where these fields are enabled. List values are matched by text without case sensitivity.
Security and limitations
Import is available only to users who have permission to modify deals, leads, or smart process items.
File limits: maximum size 15 MB, maximum number of rows 2000.
If there are unsaved changes in the product list, the system will request saving them first to prevent data loss.
Added items are created as arbitrary products based on the name and are not linked to the product catalog.
General iT can install “Gigabyte: Import of goods from Excel/CSV”, configure its settings and verify its operation in the existing project.
