What this solution does

Cookie Consent is a module for 1C-Bitrix designed to manage the collection and storage of user consent for cookie usage and third-party service integration. The solution provides a category-based consent banner, maintains a consent log, and automatically generates legal pages based on organization details.

Key feature: Analytics, marketing, and online service scripts are not added to the page until the corresponding consent is obtained. Counters are not pre-loaded and do not wait in the background for permission. Until user consent is given, the relevant scripts are physically absent from the HTML, preventing the browser from sending requests to external services.

Capabilities include a consent banner with four categories: necessary (non-disableable), analytics, marketing, and live chat. The interface offers three equal buttons: "Accept All", "Necessary Only", and "Save Choice". No pre-filled consents are present. Colors can be customized to match the site template. Users can revoke consent at any time via the "Cookie Settings" button, including using the keyboard.

The module supports integration with Yandex.Metrica (including multiple counters), Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Mail.ru and Top.Mail.Ru ratings, VK Pixels and VK Advertising tools, Facebook Pixel (Meta), Mango Office call tracking, Bitrix24 online chat, and arbitrary chat widgets. Only services with identifiers filled in the module settings are included in the banner and legal texts.

The consent log records each visitor decision in a separate table containing the date, category set, policy version, and action type. The IP address is stored as a SHA-256 hash with a unique salt generated during installation. The data retention period is configurable by the administrator, and a daily background process removes records exceeding the set limit.

The policy version is updated automatically when company details, the set of connected services, or document texts change. In such cases, the system requests consent again, as the previous consent was valid only for the prior policy edition.

The module automatically generates legal documents: a cookie usage policy, a privacy policy, consent for personal data processing, and consent for promotional mailing. Upon page creation, the system inserts organization details and configures page links in the settings. For online stores, the module additionally creates a public offer, payment terms, delivery terms, and warranty obligations. Users can add a custom disclaimer text above the documents and assign a CSS class to the page wrapper via the site template.

A consent checkbox is integrated into the checkout page and selected website forms without requiring template modifications.

Administrators receive a compliance checklist highlighting items outside the module's scope, such as notifications to Roskomnadzor and cross-border data transfers. The package includes a ready-made template for the Roskomnadzor notification text. A scanner for old pages is also available to identify outdated document versions and assist in setting up redirects.

Installation and requirements:

The module is compatible with 1C-Bitrix based on the D7 core, PHP version 8.1 and above, as well as MySQL or MariaDB databases. Installation is performed using standard platform tools without requiring manual template modifications: the consent banner is automatically placed before the closing body tag via a system event. When uninstalling the module, the user can choose to preserve data, which allows keeping the consent log history and current settings. Legal pages created during operation are not deleted along with the module, as they are part of the site content rather than files of the extension itself.
