What this solution does
The Catalog Doctor module for 1C-Bitrix allows mass cleanup of product cards directly from the administrative panel. The tool cleans product names and descriptions, extracts technical specifications from text fields into infoblock properties, and populates meta tags including Title, Description, H1, and keywords. Optionally, descriptions and meta data can be generated using a neural network. Every change is logged with a record of the state before and after, enabling the rollback of any batch or individual product with a single click. The module does not modify site templates and does not render any elements on public pages.
Name cleaning features include removing the pipe character '|', reformatting the structure 'ARTICLE BRAND | Type' to 'Type BRAND ARTICLE', removing marketing phrases such as 'buy in Moscow', eliminating extra spaces, and correcting text written in all caps. The brand is determined based on an infoblock property or a user-defined list rather than being guessed. If the article property is empty but the article number is visible in the name, the system automatically saves it to the property.
Specification processing recognizes lines in formats like 'Power, kW 2', 'Material: cast iron', 'Inner diameter d, mm 4', and table rows within the description. Detected values are saved to infoblock properties with their original names. Measurement units 'mm' and 'mm' are unified. After transferring these values, the original lines can be removed from the text while tables, images, lists, and the remaining content remain unchanged.
The Characteristics -> Properties tab identifies missing infoblock properties and creates them with a single click. The description cleaning function removes scripts, styles, formatting attributes, Word wrappers, and empty paragraphs. Meta tag generation for Title, Description, H1, and keywords follows templates using placeholders {name}, {brand}, {article}, {section}, {city}, {site}, {specs}, and {price}. By default, only empty fields and exact title copies are filled; manual values remain untouched.
Neural network usage is optional. The site owner enters the access key. Supported providers include YandexGPT, GigaChat, aggregators AITunnel and Polza with ruble payments, direct OpenAI access, and any OpenAI-compatible server via HTTPS. The model receives only factual card data: name, brand, section, characteristics, and original text. It is prohibited from inventing characteristics, prices, or delivery terms. Available modes include generating descriptions only for items without text, for items with short text, or for all items. Descriptions containing links and files are not rewritten. A daily request limit protects against unexpected charges. Without a key, all rules, property handling, cleaning functions, and meta templates operate in standard mode.
Catalog Doctor is a module for 1C-Bitrix designed to generate AI-based product descriptions, SEO meta tags, and product specifications. The tool operates without pre-saving data. Users select an information block, a section, and an ID range, then specify fields for processing before launching the 'Show Preview' mode. The system displays changes from 'before to after' on a live product card. The 'Diagnosis without saving' function analyzes the entire filtered set, counting the number of identified issues for each product. The correction process ('Treat') runs step-by-step in the browser with a progress bar, counters, and a stop button. Interrupted batches can be resumed later. The journal records original and new values for all fields. When rolling back changes, fields manually edited after processing are not overwritten but are marked as conflicts.
The module is built using the D7 API. Element and property reading is performed via ORM, while data writing uses the standard information block API. Server communication is implemented through an AJAX controller with session and permission checks. Settings are available on the standard module page. The application creates two tables for storing the journal and batch data, leaving no traces upon removal. Access rights follow standard module permissions: read rights allow viewing data, while write rights enable launching processes and performing rollbacks.
