The module provides centralized management of all site redirect rules. Individual rules can be enabled or disabled without modifying the site code. It supports permanent (301, 308) and temporary (302, 307) redirects.

Matching modes include exact match, prefix match, partial URL search, and regular expressions. The solution operates in multisite environments and accounts for query string parameters. Rules can be sorted to define execution order, and comments can be added to facilitate maintenance.

Built-in system functions automatically perform standard SEO URL transformations. These include redirecting from HTTP to HTTPS, forcing www or non-www domain formats, removing index.php from page URLs, converting URLs to lowercase, removing trailing slashes, and adding a trailing slash when required. All system rules are consolidated into a single final redirect to prevent chains of sequential redirects.

Bulk addition and updates of rules are handled via CSV import. The import process supports adding new rules.

The module supports updating existing redirect rules or completely replacing the user-defined rule list. Before import, the system automatically validates the file structure and data, displaying a preview of the records to be added.

To analyze performance, the module tracks usage statistics for each rule. Available data includes the number of rule triggers, the date of the last usage, a full redirect log, and tools for filtering and searching within the statistics.

Built-in security mechanisms verify rule correctness before saving, protect against invalid regular expressions, and prevent redirect loops. The module allows enabling or disabling external redirects and requires administrator access verification. Administrative actions are secured using standard 1C-Bitrix security mechanisms.

The Professional SEO Redirects module integrates with the standard administrative part of 1C-Bitrix. Request processing occurs via the OnBeforeProlog event. Upon page load, the module registers and checks if the request is administrative. If it is a public site request, the system performs the redirect.

The process consists of two stages. First, system rules (forcing https, www, or adding/removing slashes) are applied to form the base URL and execute a single local redirect. Next, personal rules from the de_redirects_rule table are checked. Active rules are matched against the request using exact match, prefix, contains, or regular expression patterns. When a match is found, a local redirect is executed.

When a rule triggers, the hit counter increments and the last hit timestamp is recorded. If statistics are enabled, data is written to the de_redirects_stat table. The mechanism operates on every request, excluding the administrative section of the site.
