Key capabilities:
- Commercial offers in search results are consolidated into parent product cards instead of being silently ignored.
- Search by article number works even outside the main search index. If a product is discontinued, the system displays a clear message stating "tovar snyat s prodazhi" (product removed from sale) and suggests similar items from the same category.
- When the morphological index yields no results, a fallback search activates across product names and article numbers with suffix trimming. For instance, the query "resnitsy" will find items titled "dlya resnits" (for eyelashes).
- The synonym map in settings corrects frequent colloquial spellings. A search for "rimuver" is automatically redirected to "remuver".
- The system corrects keyboard layout errors and typos. Inputting "[yf" finds "khna", while "rimen" finds "remen". This functionality operates by switching between qwerty and cyrillic layouts, combined with matching similar words via the title index.
- The live search bar (autocomplete) displays suggestions as products with images and prices, rather than showing only catalog sections.
The ClassnyiSait smart catalog search module includes two components: classnyisait:search.title for a live search input field and classnyisait:search.page for the results page. The results page displays products using the bitrix:catalog.section component within the site template. The iblock and search modules are required for operation. The catalog module is optional and is needed only if displaying prices and trade offers.
