What this solution does

Smart instant product search module for Bitrix featuring dropdown suggestions that display images, prices, and other data. It supports keyboard layout recognition during query entry, filtering by sections (info blocks), and selection of specific fields (properties) for searching.

This is an extended paid version of the free 'Quick Catalog Search' module. The solution implements fast searching via XMLHttpRequest without page reload. Results appear as visual product mini-cards immediately after entering a few characters.

Component settings allow for a custom template for the search bar and dropdown list. Users can define the minimum number of characters required to trigger suggestions. Search can be performed by name only or by name and description combined. Results can be filtered to show only products with images, prices, or in-stock status. The total number of displayed items and the limit before the 'Show More' button appears are also configurable.

Display and sorting settings:

— Select the price type shown in thumbnails;

— Configure currency conversion;

— Define sorting order for the dropdown list;

— Additional sorting option: "Sections first";

— Option to include VAT in displayed prices.

Advanced search functionality:

— Search products by properties and tags simultaneously;

— Option to prioritize product titles in result ranking (configurable);

— Automatic detection and correction of input errors caused by incorrect keyboard layout;

— Implementation using pure Vanilla JavaScript, removing external dependencies such as jQuery;

— Support for synonyms and automatic word replacements.

Search query analytics:

— Statistics available for 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, and all time;

— Separate tracking for submitted queries (via the "Search" button) and partial queries (typed but not submitted).

Synonyms and replacements configuration

Allows creating custom synonyms to refine search results. For example, adding the synonym "dress" to a "sundress" item will cause sundresses to appear in search results when users query "dress".

This feature helps correct common customer input errors: fixes typos, accounts for incorrect word choices, and adapts search behavior to actual user needs. The list of frequent errors can be built using statistical data and operational experience.
