Product Change Log

What this solution does

The demo version of the module is fully functional and available for a period of 30 days.

The 'Product Change Log' module is included in a complimentary package provided upon purchasing the 'Advanced 1C Exchange' or 'Parallel and Accelerated 1C Exchange' modules.

Technical requirements include support for PHP version 8.2 and newer. The module utilizes its own database tables and requires a MySQL database type. If the primary system uses PostgreSQL, a separate MySQL database can be created specifically for the module's tables.

The functionality allows tracking changes to information block elements, product parameters, price values, and warehouse stock levels. The tool is optimized for operation on live websites. During data saving, the system checks whether the new value differs from the old one and records information only when changes are detected, thereby saving database space. When an element is created for the first time, all its data is recorded as new. If no changes occur during an exchange with 1C, no entry is made in the log.

Use of the module is recommended whenever products are edited manually or when data import is utilized. The module records creation, modification, and deletion events for the following fields:

- name;

- short description;

- full description.

The Product Change Log tracks key parameters: symbolic code, activity status, available quantity, reserved quantity, prices, VAT, purchase price, warehouse stock levels, detailed images, announcement images, and element sections.

The module records who made changes and when. For developers, it logs the sequence of function calls, enabling precise identification of the code responsible for product modifications. Users can quickly navigate from the product card to the change history. The system records only actual data changes and allows monitoring of storage duration and log volume.

The solution is compatible with any information blocks. It is particularly useful for analyzing reasons for quantity changes: the log shows values set by 1C exchange, data entered by users, how reservation triggers, and when reservations are cancelled.

The module operates exclusively within the administrative panel and does not affect the performance of adaptive or composite websites.
