What this solution does
The Web Forms Anti-Spam module protects forms on the 1C-Bitrix platform from automated bot submissions and unwanted messages. The key feature is protection without using CAPTCHA or third-party services. Visitors do not need to recognize images, enter verification codes, or perform additional actions; the check is performed invisibly.
Key capabilities:
Bot and spam protection. Prevents automated form submissions and reduces the number of unwanted messages.
No CAPTCHA. Visitors do not need to undergo additional verification when submitting forms.
No external services. Connection to Google reCAPTCHA or other third-party anti-spam services is not required for protection to work.
Multisite support. Protection can be enabled separately for each site.
Additional filters. Configurable protection mechanisms to strengthen the main anti-spam filter.
Custom form support. Protection can be integrated into custom-developed forms.
Supported forms
The module enables anti-spam protection for standard 1C-Bitrix components:
The module protects web forms, including standard result forms bitrix:form.result.new, user registration forms bitrix:system.auth.registration and bitrix:main.register, and password recovery forms bitrix:system.auth.forgotpasswd. Protection for each form type is configured independently. A custom error message can be set for rejected submissions.
If the main anti-spam filter allows some automated submissions, additional verification mechanisms can be used. You can limit submission frequency by setting a maximum number of form submissions within a specific time period. HTTP_REFERER checking is available to verify the request source. A hidden field (Honeypot) is used to detect bots that automatically fill form fields. The module also allows selecting an appropriate method for determining the visitor's IP address, taking the web server configuration into account.
The module is installed using standard 1C-Bitrix Marketplace tools. All settings are available in the site administration panel under Settings → Product Settings → Module Settings → Anti-spam for web forms.
To enable web form protection, a call to a specialized method must be integrated into the templates of the forms being protected. Separate integration methods are provided for custom forms. A detailed guide for installation, configuration, and connecting protection to both standard and custom forms is available in the documentation.
When needed, General iT can implement “Anti-spam for web forms”, configure the module and verify it against the current website setup.
