The tool operates via a frontend component or through the module API. Detailed instructions for placing the component in product lists and cards are available in the module settings. Additionally, the module supports background operation, allowing prices to update automatically without modifying frontend components.
This solution is optimized for trade catalogs that do not support online checkout. It is suitable for displaying product or service costs where pricing is derived from foreign currency rates.
Key capabilities:
- Add an unlimited number of currencies;
- Specify exchange rates against the ruble;
- Automatically fetch rates from the Central Bank of Russia website;
- Flexible pricing configuration with support for markups and discounts.
The module allows setting a markup or discount on the currency rate using percentage or fixed values. A separate 'Currency' property is created in information blocks to generate a list of available currencies for elements. An API for working with the module and a component for displaying the element price in the site's base currency are provided. Automatic conversion of the cost to a separate element property can be configured. A gadget titled 'Simple Currency Rates with Charts' is available in the administrative section. This solution is not recommended for use on 1C-Bitrix editions 'Site Management: Small Business', 'Business', and 'Expert', as these editions already include the multi-functional 'Currencies' module.
