What this solution does

The module enables step-by-step selection of products from a catalog based on linked characteristics from predefined sections. Selected items are saved to the user's current configuration at each stage.

The solution allows creating an unlimited number of configurators for various types of products and services, linking them together. Users are shown a sequence of steps to select required items. For each stage, settings for descriptions and displayed element parameters are available.

To simplify component selection, the system implements a smart filter, sorting by name, quantity, price, or other parameters, along with the ability to choose a display template. At each assembly stage, the system displays hints for available actions and a list of compatible parameters derived from previously selected items, which determines the available options for the next step.

The module enables the creation of step-by-step and single-page configurators for platforms, products, services, and bundles, including personal computers and servers. It is suitable for selecting PC components, car model configurations, wheels by vehicle model, and clothing outfits.

Users can independently assemble their order, save the result to their account, print the list, place an order, and share a link to the completed configuration.

Administrators can create an unlimited number of configurators and steps. Configuration options include defining inter-step relationships, display conditions, and quantity limits based on properties selected at previous stages. Each step supports selection modes for a single item or multiple items with specified quantities. The system allows semi-automatic generation of product bundles or standard items based on saved configurations.

Basic functionality is available in all editions of 1C-Bitrix.

Integration with modules

Function availability depends on the component and template used:

1. Available exclusively in the "Configurator" component.

2. Available in the "Configurator" component and the standard "Single-page Configurator" template.

3. Available only in the "Single-page Configurator" component.

4. Available in the "Grid" product template of the "Configurator" component, the standard "Single-page Configurator" template, and the "platform" template of the "Single-page Configurator" component.

Third-party module integration:

The "Simple Currencies" module enables conversion and formatting of prices from various currencies into the base currency. It is recommended for editions without the "Trade Catalog" module.

The "Simple Forms" module allows sending customer information, selected products, or the assembled configuration to the site manager via email or SMS.

The "Start SHOP" module is designed for editions lacking the "Online Store" module. It enables adding selected products to the cart and placing an order.

The "Ready-made online store for selling computers and components with a built-in configurator" module is included as part of the ready-made website.

The "Requests from Product Configurator" module allows creating requests based on assemblies, groups of assemblies, or directly from the configurator interface.
