What this solution does
The module saves UTM parameters (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content, utm_term) into cookies. This enables tracking of advertising channels through which a client submits a request or completes an order, not only upon site entry but also on any other pages and during repeat visits.
How it works: on the first visit to a URL containing UTM parameters, the module stores these values in cookies. On subsequent visits via a link with UTM parameters, the stored values are updated. If a visit occurs without UTM parameters, existing cookie data remains unchanged and no new data is written.
When using the Web Forms module, UTM data from cookies is automatically passed to form submission results. The solution also supports customizing forms to transmit these cookie values into completed orders.
Integration examples are provided in the Installation section.
Note: The module only saves UTM parameters to cookies. Custom implementation is required to retrieve and store these values within form components, order processing, and other system elements.
General iT can connect “VIARDA: Save UTM Tags to Cookie (UTM Saver)”, install and configure the module, and make sure the integration works correctly.
