New features. Support for the MAX social network has been added: login via button and hints in the form make it easier to connect a channel to auto-publications.
Publication speed and reliability. Saving products and catalog items no longer "freezes" the page due to communication with ParrotPoster: sending to social networks and updating posts are performed in the background, allowing you to return to work faster. If the ParrotPoster service is temporarily unavailable, tasks are not lost—the module will automatically retry later. The catalog with a large number of templates and publications has become more responsive thanks to internal optimization. Older versions of ParrotPoster continue to be supported.
Reliable connection to ParrotPoster. API requests can automatically switch to a backup service address if the primary one is temporarily unavailable: publications and settings are more likely to complete without additional action on your part.
Login and interface. Login via ParrotPoster account has been added: authorization occurs on the service side, after which the site gains access without manual parameter transfer. Some pages in the admin panel are displayed in embedded mode on top of the familiar Bitrix framework; the section structure remains largely the same as before. In the accounts section, the list of connected social networks and the add form have been consolidated onto a single page—they were previously on separate screens.
Security. Protection has been strengthened: module sections in the admin panel remain accessible only to authorized users with Bitrix-configured module permissions, and communication with ParrotPoster has been improved so that sensitive data is not transmitted in plain text via page addresses. The API access key has been moved to the standard module settings in Bitrix instead of a separate file in the installation directory; upon update, the key from the previous version is automatically retained.
Compatibility with hosting. PHP 7.4 or newer and PHP curl and json extensions are required — a standard set for working with external services. During installation and update from the Marketplace, the module automatically checks the environment: if something is unsuitable, you will receive a clear message instead of a non-working site. Before updating, we recommend creating a backup of the site. If the PHP version on the hosting is lower than required, update it with your provider and retry installing or updating the module.
