Scoder: Automatic addition of gifts. Pop-up window "Your gift is already in the cart"

What this solution does

The Scoder module implements two scenarios for automatically adding gifts. The first triggers when a customer adds any item to the cart, automatically including available promotional gifts in the order. The second scenario activates after a specified time interval following a user's visit to the website. In this case, the gift is added to the cart, and the visitor receives a notification via a modal pop-up window.

The Scoder module automatically adds selected items to a visitor's cart after a configured delay. This helps motivate users who browse the site for an extended period without making a purchase. The setup allows selecting the delay time for the offer: 5, 10, or 30 seconds from the first visit. The timeout is easily adjustable in the module settings. This functionality is particularly useful if the cart does not display a block of available gifts, as it ensures the selected item is added automatically without user intervention.

The Scoder module automatically adds gifts and displays a popup notification confirming that the gift is already in the cart. The module operates using cart rules applicable to the 'All Visitors' user group.

Gift availability under additional conditions in a cart rule is calculated based on the base price available to the 'All Users' group.

When actions occur directly in the cart, such as changing the item quantity, changes made by the module may not appear immediately. This is because cart templates do not always account for changes triggered by event handlers, such as adding a gift or applying rules. A workaround involves updating the cart via Ajax or performing a simple page reload.

The solution is not compatible with the cloud version of Bitrix24. The module does not restrict the ability to place an order if the cart contains only gifts.

The modal window notifying about a gift appears after the visitor performs at least two actions on the website: visiting two different pages or opening the same page twice.

For the module to function correctly, all latest updates for 1C-Bitrix components must be installed. The 'Settings -> Tools -> System Check' test must complete without errors.

Cart modifications performed on the server, such as adding a gift upon coupon activation or removing a gift when a base product is deleted, are not displayed immediately in most cart templates. They appear only after refreshing the cart page. To resolve this, the cart can be updated via Ajax.

When the option 'Check the entire buyer's cart when identifying available gifts' is enabled, all zero-price items are considered when calculating gifts after a product is removed from the cart.
