SCode: Smart Search

What this solution does

SCode: Smart Search helps visitors find products and materials on the site, even if the query contains typos, is entered in the wrong keyboard layout, or is typed in transliteration.

The module works with Information Blocks in 1C-Bitrix: Site Management and uses its own search index in the site database. Connecting an external search service is not required.

Search is performed by name, ID, symbolic code, XML_ID, tags, sections, and selected properties. Search by SKU is supported, including prefixes and internal matches for supported query types.

The system corrects RU/EN keyboard layouts, handles transliteration, and processes mixed Cyrillic and Latin text. Typos are corrected based on a dictionary of indexed data. Russian word normalization is implemented to support searching across different word forms.

Features include manual query corrections, synonyms, and search suggestions. Search rules can be imported and exported in CSV format. Field weights and priorities for products and sections can be configured.

Ranking takes into account availability, price, and images. Selected products, items without a price, and unavailable products are excluded from the results.

The SCode Smart Search module considers article numbers and selected public properties of trade offers. When a query matches, the system may display a link, image, and price for the relevant offer.

Public SKU properties are configured within the module interface. Access rights and item activity are automatically verified during offer generation.

SITE SEARCH

The package includes a search bar with AJAX suggestions and a search results page. The search bar supports local query history, a 'Frequently Searched' block, and voice input in compatible browsers. Voice input functionality depends on browser capabilities and the availability of an HTTPS connection.

MANAGEMENT AND DIAGNOSTICS

The administrative panel provides search area settings, step-by-step reindexing, an update queue, rules, and query statistics. The diagnostic tool allows verification of an item's presence in the index and analysis of matches that influenced its position in the results. Settings and indexes are separated per site.

REQUIREMENTS

• 1C-Bitrix core module version 20.0.0 or newer.

• PHP 8.2 or newer with the mbstring extension.

• MySQL or MariaDB with InnoDB support.

• Information Blocks module.

• Trade Catalog module (required for prices, stock levels, and trade offers).

To display the search, you must manually add the module's components to the site template or specific pages. The module does not automatically replace existing search bars in custom templates.
