What this solution does

The 'Sitemap with Auto-Generation and Filters' module for '1C-Bitrix: Site Management' provides automatic creation and updating of the sitemap.xml file. It allows filtering URL elements and sections of information blocks for inclusion in the sitemap based on specified rules, parameters, and properties.

The sitemap file is generated or updated automatically on a schedule via agents or upon completion of synchronization with 1C. Filtering is performed based on element properties and parameters. Filtering conditions are configured flexibly using logical operators and condition grouping, enabling the combination of multiple filters. To reduce server load, the duration of each generation step can be limited.

In an online store scenario with product import from 1C, the module allows adding only relevant items to the sitemap. For instance, it can be configured to automatically include in sitemap.xml only products with a stock balance greater than zero, or those matching a specific property value, such as 'color: red'.

The module enables automatic sitemap updates for informational sites at a specified interval. Updates apply to elements (such as articles) or sections that match filter conditions based on properties and values.

The module has been tested and functions correctly on the «1C-Bitrix: Site Management» core version 20.0 and newer. For systems running a core version below 20.0, it is recommended to verify functionality using a demo version. The current core version can be found at the bottom of the administrative panel.

Scheduled automatic updates are handled via agents. To ensure stability, verify agent status using the standard «System Check» tool in Bitrix.

This solution extends the capabilities of the standard sitemap settings (Marketing — Search Engine Optimization) and is designed to work with information blocks rather than individual files or static pages. It is recommended to use the module alongside standard settings while avoiding conflicting configurations.

The module is installed using standard tools of the «1C-Bitrix» platform. It is ready to work immediately after installation and requires no initial configuration.

The functionality is demonstrated using a real-world task for an online store. The sitemap must be automatically updated after each data exchange with «1C», as well as manually refreshed once a week. Only URLs of products that are in stock and meet the specified criteria—being bestsellers or having a set retail price—are added to the sitemap. Sections containing at least one product that satisfies these conditions are included in the sitemap.

To configure, navigate to «Administrative part — Content — Sitemap with auto-generation and filters — #YOUR_SITE# — Sitemap.xml settings» and click the «Add» button.

On the settings tab, specify a clear configuration name and the site address. If the sitemap already exists (created via standard functionality), provide the path to the file. The module does not delete existing entries but appends new ones. Configure automatic updates by a set interval, such as once a week (every 168 hours), and enable updates after each product export from 1C.

On the Information Blocks tab, select the information block containing the product catalog and mark it. Add the main (index) page of the information block to the sitemap and specify additional record parameters: modification date, priority, and change frequency.

Mark the sections whose URLs should be included in the sitemap. In this case, only sections containing products selected by filter conditions (the filter will be created later) are included. Set the required parameters for these sections.

Mark the elements and specify that they will be selected by a filter. Click the button to add a new filter.

4. In the filter creation window for infoblock elements, enter a clear name. Since the filtering condition is composite and uses logical operators AND and OR, first create a condition group for the OR operator. Using the lists of available properties and parameters, create two conditions and set the logical operator OR between them (click the operator button to change it). Then, add a separate condition to the created group, combining the group and the condition with the AND operator. The composite condition rule for the filter is now created. Save it.

Configuration is complete. You can save it and immediately start generating the sitemap.
