What this solution does

The Smart Banners module helps retain visitors who leave the site without placing an order. It displays targeted pop-ups at the optimal moment: promotional offers, lead capture forms, coupons, interactive games, or age verification requests. This solution consists of a set of pre-configured scenarios managed through the admin panel, rather than static banners overlaid on the site content.

The Smart Banners module by Prime has evolved from a basic tool with three window types into a comprehensive marketing platform. It now offers 13 distinct popup types, a builder for targeting specific audiences and locations, built-in statistics, a lead list, and A/B testing capabilities. Previously promised features such as video support, promotional timers, custom forms, independent HTML, and 18+ content filtering are fully integrated. Popups utilize independent styling that does not rely on the store template, with full support for the Composite interface and mobile devices.

The solution is designed to capture users leaving the shopping cart or product page by offering lead generation forms or exit-intent coupons. It effectively supports promotions and sales through banners, sliders, and countdown windows. The system collects contact information (name, phone, email) and routes it to site leads, manager emails, information blocks, subscriptions, or integrates with Bitrix24. It also supports gamification and gift mechanics, including the wheel of fortune, prize selection, and coupon generation based on cart rules. For private clubs, the module enables permanent account discounts for buyers without requiring one-time codes.

Configuration is handled in the admin panel, where users define the window type, text content, images, and display triggers. The module automatically renders popups on public site pages, eliminating the need to install separate components on each page. Visitors interact with the interface by clicking buttons, spinning wheels, or submitting forms.

The system tracks impressions, clicks, and submissions. If a coupon is configured, the user receives it immediately and can also receive a copy via email.

The Smart Banners module enables the creation of pop-up windows for promoting offers and retaining users. Available content types include: a classic banner with an image, title, text, and button; a slider for automatically cycling through multiple promotional blocks; video embedding from YouTube, Rutube, or VKontakte; an offer block with text, a button, and a countdown timer; buttons linking to VKontakte, Odnoklassniki, and Telegram; a lead capture form with fields for name, phone, email, and comments, sending data to a manager and displaying submissions in the admin panel; social sharing buttons; a custom HTML block; an age verification window (18+) with redirection options for negative responses; a coupon generator that issues a one-time code upon email submission; a Lucky Wheel with weighted sectors and prizes that issues a coupon when an offer sector is selected (re-spinning from the same visit is disabled); automatic user group assignment upon site entry to apply a permanent discount in the cart rules; and a prize selection interface where users choose a gift from a list, with the option to attach a rule for coupon issuance.

The coupon, wheel of fortune, and prize features require the presence of the «Internet Store» and «Trading Catalog» modules on the site. In the «Start» edition, other window types function as usual.

Display settings

Trigger rules are not limited to a 5-second delay or cursor movement upward. Multiple conditions can be combined within a single window.

The Smart Banners module enables the creation of pop-up windows for promotions and user retention when visitors attempt to leave the site. Configuration options include page filtering (e.g., catalog or cart only using masks like /catalog/*), with the ability to exclude service addresses and UTM parameters. Time-based triggers allow targeting by promotion dates, hours of the day, and days of the week. Launch conditions consider the traffic source (UTM, referrer, URL parameters, cookies), device type (mobile, tablet, desktop), and optionally the browser or operating system. Audience targeting is defined by user groups, specific sites, or domains within a multisite structure. Cart logic supports displaying messages based on total sum, item count, or the presence of specific products or categories. Behavioral triggers include pause duration, time since visit start, scroll depth, element clicks, anchor links, number of viewed pages, and exit intent. Display frequency can be limited to a set number of times per day, with options to hide the window for several days after closing or to show it only after another window has been displayed. Seven placement positions are available: center, top, bottom, and corners. The module includes ready-made templates for various window types: card, poster, banner, cinema hall, ticket, wheel, club plastic card, and others. Visual settings such as colors, fonts, and animations are configured within the window card. Google Fonts can be enabled on demand but are disabled by default. Custom styling can be copied to the php_interface directory, ensuring it is preserved during module updates. The module supports the generation of leads, coupons, and emails.

All submitted forms are automatically saved to Services → Smart Windows → Applications. This section supports filtering by specific window and deleting records.

When a scenario triggers, the manager receives a notification. The customer receives an email with a coupon or prize if this feature is enabled.

Coupons are generated within a discount rule as single-use. If verification is enabled, each email address receives a coupon only once.

Optionally, you can configure saving the application to an information block, adding the email to a subscription list, or sending the lead to an incoming Bitrix24 webhook.

If Yandex.Metrica is installed on the site, the module can trigger goals for clicks and form submissions. Installing the metric counter is not required.

A consent block for personal data processing is integrated into the window. For the spin wheel, a similar checkbox appears if the corresponding setting is enabled.

Statistics and A/B testing track impressions, clicks, closures, and submissions for each window separately, with breakdowns by day and device type.

Two variants of the same window type can be set up for A/B testing. The module automatically distributes traffic between variants, while the administrator selects the winner.

This solution is preferable to third-party widgets because all data—applications, coupons, and statistics—remain on your site. There is no monthly subscription fee for using the popup builder.

The coupon and club mechanisms operate through native Bitrix discounts rather than external services.

The demo version on the Marketplace allows testing all features on a real store without restrictions.

The Smart Banners module is designed for the 1C-Bitrix: Site Management platform. It requires PHP 8.1 or higher, a MySQL database, and supports the composite mode. It is compatible with editions ranging from Start to Business. Coupon generation functionality is available when the Online Store and Catalog components are installed.

The club mechanism adds only authenticated buyers to the group. Guests are prompted to log in to prevent discounts from being applied to another user's account. The module source code is open, and no external paid APIs are required. The distribution is optimized for MySQL.
