KLITE: Multiregionality

What this solution does

The KLITE Multi-regional module enables a single website to operate across multiple regions without duplicating content or creating site copies. The visitor's region is determined automatically based on the subdomain or a previously made selection. Once identified, regional data such as city name, phone number, address, e-mail, and other fields defined by the site administrator are inserted into the pages.

For business, this ensures visitors see contact details for their local branch, which increases conversion rates. In subdomain mode, each region is indexed by search engines as a separate site, featuring a unique sitemap, a distinct robots.txt file, and page titles customized with the city name.

Regional variables are edited in a single field within the administrative section and apply to all website pages and all sent emails. Adding a new region requires no changes to templates or content.

Functional capabilities:

- Two region detection modes: using separate subdomains or domains, or a single domain that retains the user's selection.

- Data insertion via tags like #REGION_NAME# and #REGION_PHONE# in templates, information blocks, and page content.

- Automatic declension of the region name across all six grammatical cases.

It includes special tags that automatically convert phone numbers and email addresses into clickable links using the tel: and mailto: formats. The module features a ready-made regional selection component implemented as a pop-up window with a list and search functionality.
