Interland: Event Ticket Sales

What this solution does

The 'Event Ticket Sales' module enables organizers to sell tickets via their own website, accept card payments, and verify entry using QR codes. The system does not utilize seating charts; instead, tickets are defined as tariffs with specific quotas, covering most scenarios without unnecessary complexity.

The module supports offline events with QR-based entry and online events with personalized streaming links for each participant. Tariffs can be configured with quotas, prices, sales windows, and VAT rates. The system automatically displays status badges for 'low availability' and 'sold out'.

A public storefront includes an event calendar and a ticket selection page, with customizable component templates. Users can purchase a single order for a group or buy individual tickets with specific guest details. Free events are supported through registration without payment.

Direct payment processing is implemented (initially supporting YooKassa); the provider generates receipts compliant with Russian law 54-FZ. The provider abstraction allows for the integration of other payment gateways. QR tickets are sent via email using an adaptive template through SMTP; online participants receive a personalized link to the stream.

The entry scanner for controllers operates directly in a smartphone browser using the camera. Access is granted via a token link, eliminating the need for an admin panel account. The system recognizes three outcomes: entry granted, ticket already used, or invalid. A manual search function is available in case of camera malfunction. The validation process is protected against duplicate scans and simultaneous scanning by multiple controllers.

Sales reporting covers the number of tickets sold, revenue, remaining stock, refunds, breakdown by fare, buyer details, and attendance metrics (attended vs. no-show). Data can be exported to Excel. Refunds can be processed for the entire order or individual tickets, returning the seats to available inventory.

Events, sessions, and fare structures are managed within the admin panel. Demo data is available for testing with a single click. This solution is designed for event organizers, training centers, conferences, concerts, webinars, and workshops selling tickets via their own websites.

Technical specifications: built on the D7 core (Bitrix\Main\ORM) with custom tables. The module is self-contained and does not require the 'Online Store' (sale) module, functioning on any platform edition. QR code generation and reading are performed locally without external services. Requires PHP 8.2 or higher. Supports Russian and English localization. Installation and removal are handled correctly with an option to preserve data.
