Giveasy — Gift Card and Certificate Module

What this solution does

Electronic gift certificate module for an online store on 1C-Bitrix. It enables selling certificates on the website and accepting them for order payments with partial redemption. The unused balance is retained on the certificate and does not expire.

Certificate Sales

The Giveasy widget can be placed on any page of the website. The buyer selects the design, face value, specifies the recipient, writes a greeting, and sets the delivery date.

Payment is made directly within the widget via a connected payment terminal, such as YooKassa or Robokassa. This process does not require adding items to the cart or completing a standard order checkout. Funds are credited to the store account, and a receipt is generated through the connected terminal.

The certificate is automatically sent to the recipient's email immediately or on the scheduled date.

If YooKassa or Robokassa is not available, certificates can be sold through the standard website cart using the regular order checkout process.

Order Payment with Certificate

A field for entering gift certificate details appears on the order checkout page.

The certificate covers a portion of the order total. The buyer pays the remaining balance using a selected payment method. The order receipt displays split payments, showing the amount covered by the certificate and the top-up amount.

The unused balance is retained on the certificate and can be used in future orders.

The amount is reserved during the order processing. A single certificate cannot be used twice. If the order is cancelled, the reserved amount is returned to the certificate balance.

Giveasy Personal Cabinet

The Giveasy module enables the creation of gift cards with custom designs, cover builders, denomination settings, validity periods, and customizable email text templates. The system maintains a complete record of all issued certificates and redemption events, sending notifications for sales and redemptions.

The module requires any platform edition starting from Start. In editions without the built-in Online Store module (Start, Standard), certificate sales are handled via a widget. Paying for orders with certificates is supported only in editions that include the Online Store: Small Business, Expert, and Business.

Technical requirements include PHP version 8.2 or higher and the ability to send outgoing HTTPS requests to the external service giveasy.ru. To sell certificates through the widget, a payment gateway such as YooKassa or Robokassa must be connected within the Giveasy control panel. The certificate code input block integrates into the standard order checkout component sale.order.ajax; for non-standard checkout templates, assistance is available for manual integration. The module source code is open and contains no obfuscation.

The module is free of charge but requires an active account with the paid external Giveasy service. The project connection fee is 3,990 RUB (waived when selecting a subscription-based tariff). The service charges a 10% commission on sold certificates, or offers a commission-free tariff for 3,990 RUB per month. Current tariff details are available in the Giveasy control panel.

Limitations include the inability to pay for delivery using a certificate, and the restriction that a certificate cannot be used to purchase another certificate.

When ordering through the site cart, active discount rules may reduce the final certificate price. In this case, the certificate is not issued.
