What this solution does
The 'Exit Warning Page' module helps improve site behavioral metrics and reduce accidental user transitions to external resources. It allows customization of the warning page template and its display settings before a user leaves the site.
Installation is performed via the standard wizard and requires no specialized technical knowledge. After installation, navigate to the administrative panel: 'Product Settings' > 'Sites' > 'Site List', select the desired template, and locate the new tab 'Exit Warning Page Settings'.
The following parameters are available in this tab:
Activate warning page: enabling this option activates the module, ensuring all transitions to external resources follow the configured warning flow.
Warning page URL: specify the address of the page to be displayed to the user before they leave the site.
Module for displaying a warning page when a user leaves the site. Allows setting the rel="nofollow" attribute to prevent pages from being indexed by search engines.
Timer settings:
Enabling the timer activates the delay function. The delay duration in seconds before redirecting to an external resource is specified.
Page template settings:
Select a page template from those available on the site. The content template field allows defining a static layout using specific markers: an HTML template for valid code, {TIMER} for the transition counter, {URL} for the transition link, and {URL_HREF} for the text representation of the link without formatting.
If a page template is selected, only the main content area is entered in the content field, while the header and footer are generated automatically according to the selected template. If no template is selected, the full valid HTML code of the page must be provided.
Other settings:
URL exclusion list. Enter the full address of each link on a new line. Matching is performed only for exact matches of the full address as displayed on the page.
