What this solution does

The 'Delivery Calculated by Manager' module implements an automated scenario where the customer always receives a notification that the final delivery cost will be determined manually by a manager.

System requirement: minimum core version 17.5.

Use case 1: Zone-based courier pricing

Courier delivery costs may vary depending on the city district. Since the standard BUS functionality does not support automatic calculation for specific districts, this module routes the process to a manager. The customer sees a message indicating manual calculation, while the staff member sets the price according to the current price list.

Use case 2: Russia Post shipping with unknown weight

Shipping costs via Russia Post depend directly on the package weight. If the product weight is unknown at the time of order placement, this module prevents calculation errors. The customer receives a notification that the cost requires clarification, and the manager determines the final delivery amount based on the actual weight of the shipment.

This tool addresses a wide range of scenarios where automatic calculation is impossible or impractical.

If an administrator manually enters the delivery cost, the notification indicating that the cost has not been calculated must be closed. This is required to resolve the order error.
