What this solution does
The Bussol: Order Invoice to PDF and Email module, version 2.2.2, developed by BUSSOL, is designed to automatically generate PDF invoices based on orders from an online store built on the 1C-Bitrix platform.
The system independently determines when to generate the document, creates a PDF using a selected template, saves it to the archive, sends it to the buyer, and, if required, to the accounting department. Customers can also download the invoice from their personal account.
Flexible trigger rules allow for various scenarios based on the payment system, order status, payment status, transaction amount, and the specific PDF template used. This solution is suitable for online stores, B2B projects, and wholesale companies seeking to automate the invoicing process without manual document preparation.
The Bussol module automates the generation of PDF invoices and their email delivery, eliminating the need for manual document creation, customer address lookup, and attachment sending. After an order is created or modified, the system checks the configured rules and executes the corresponding scenario.
AUTOMATIC PDF INVOICE GENERATION
The module works with orders from the standard sale module and automatically retrieves necessary data: order number and date, seller and buyer details, order composition, quantity and cost of goods, units of measurement, VAT, discount, delivery cost, paid amount, total amount, order comment, additional order properties, and specific payment details. Based on this data, a ready-to-use A4 format PDF document is generated. Generation is performed by a background job of 1C-Bitrix after saving the order, so invoice generation and sending do not delay the main order processing process.
FLEXIBLE TRIGGER RULES
The main advantage of the module is the ability to independently determine when and which invoice should be created. You can create any number of rules and specify one or several payment systems and one or several order statuses for each.
Bussol Module: PDF Invoice and Email Sending
Invoice generation rules allow configuring the payment status (any, paid, or unpaid), setting minimum and maximum order amounts, selecting a PDF template, and defining options for sending the invoice to the buyer, sending a copy to the accounting department, and allowing invoice download in the personal cabinet.
Rules are processed sequentially from top to bottom. If an order contains multiple payments, rules are checked separately for each payment. The first matching rule is applied to a specific payment.
Configuration examples:
- Generate an invoice for legal entities only when bank transfer is selected;
- Use a separate template for large orders;
- Send the invoice only after the order status changes to the required one;
- Create an invoice without sending it to the buyer;
- Separate scenarios for different payment systems.
Multiple PDF Templates
The module does not limit you to a single invoice appearance. In the administrative panel, you can create multiple custom HTML PDF templates and assign the appropriate template to each launch rule.
This enables:
- Different invoices for legal and individual entities;
- Separate templates for different business lines;
- Different details and design for various websites;
- A special invoice for a specific payment system;
- Corporate document design.
Invoice templates support variables, conditional logic, and loops. The document can include seller and buyer details, payment information, a list of goods, amounts, images, QR codes, and other invoice data. A ready-to-use built-in template is provided by default, allowing the module to be used immediately after configuring organizational details.
Branding capabilities
The invoice can include the company logo, an image of the official seal, the manager's signature, the manager's full name, the chief accountant's full name, bank details, and company contact information.
Configurable document blocks
The display of specific blocks can be individually enabled or disabled, including:
bank details;
buyer information;
buyer email and phone number;
address;
TIN and KPP;
product ID;
unit of measure;
VAT;
discount;
delivery;
already paid amount;
order comment;
additional properties;
seal image;
signature;
amount in words.
Amount in words
The final invoice amount can be automatically converted to text. For example: Fifteen thousand five hundred ninety-nine rubles 00 kopecks. This function works in the built-in template and is available in user templates.
QR code in invoice
The Bussol module automatically adds a QR code to the PDF file. Two modes are available, including the payment QR code.
The module generates payment details based on company details, order amount, and payment purpose. The QR code can include: payee name, settlement account, bank name, BIC, correspondent account, INN, KPP, payment purpose, and amount. The buyer only needs to scan the QR code with a banking app to use the prepared payment details.
Instead of payment data, the QR code can contain arbitrary text or a link. Order macros are supported, allowing the code to include dynamic data specific to a particular invoice.
Automatic sending to the buyer
After generating the PDF, the module can automatically send the invoice to the email address specified in the order properties. The PDF file is attached to the email automatically. Email settings include the subject, HTML text, and order macros. It is possible to use the order number, invoice number, date, and other data. The module tracks the sending status and prevents repeated automatic sending of the same invoice.
Invoice copy for accounting
You can separately enable automatic sending of the PDF to the accounting department. One or more email addresses are supported. Custom email settings can be configured for accounting.
Sending configuration allows selecting recipients, setting the email subject, and defining the HTML email body. The same saved PDF file is sent to the accounting department; no separate document copy is created. The option to send the accounting copy can be enabled or disabled individually for each launch rule.
INVOICE IN THE BUYER'S PERSONAL CABINET
The module provides a ready-made component for the buyer's personal cabinet. It can be placed on the order page, in the order history, or on a dedicated 'Invoices' page. The component displays the invoice for a specific order or a list of all invoices available to the user. Buyers see only documents related to their own orders. Downloading is performed through a secure handler: the user must be authorized, the order must belong to them, and the invoice issuance must be permitted by the module settings and the corresponding launch rule.
ARCHIVE OF ALL INVOICES
Generated PDF files are retained after sending and are not deleted. The module stores invoices in a structured archive organized by site, year, and month. In the administrative 'Invoices' section, the following data is visible: order number, site, payment system, buyer's email, the PDF file itself, status, creation date, sending date, and error information. Administrative actions are available for saved invoices, including downloading the PDF.
The module allows you to regenerate an invoice, resend it to the customer, and send a copy to the accounting department. This turns the tool into not just a PDF generator but also a convenient archive of issued invoices.
Invoice Regeneration
If order data changes, an administrator can regenerate a previously saved invoice. The module uses the PDF template linked to that specific invoice. If that template is no longer available, it applies the current template of the corresponding rule or the default template. This is convenient for updating the document after changes to the order composition, details, or other data.
Customer Data from Order Properties
You independently specify which order properties to use for: organization name, full name, email, phone, INN, KPP, and address. Additionally, you can display any necessary order properties by specifying their codes in the settings. This allows the module to be adapted for both standard online stores and B2B order processing with organizational details.
Customizable File Names and Texts
The PDF file name, invoice header, payment purpose, and email text support dynamic macros. For example, the file name can be generated based on the order number, invoice number, date, or payment ID.
The buyer receives a clear document named like invoice_1258_26-09-2026.pdf.
MULTISITE SUPPORT
Module settings are stored separately for each site. For each siteId, independent configuration is available for generation rules, PDF templates, seller details, invoice formatting, QR codes, customer email text, accounting addresses, and access to invoices in the personal cabinet. This architecture allows a single module to be used in a multisite environment for different companies, brands, or operating conditions.
SECURE USER TEMPLATES
User PDF templates are stored in isolation and do not execute PHP code. Data inserted into standard template variables is automatically HTML-escaped. During PDF generation, dangerous methods for loading external resources are blocked, and PHP and JavaScript execution is disabled. Uploaded images are validated by type and size. PDF archives are hidden from direct public access; invoice delivery is performed through a controlled handler with mandatory verification of user rights and order status.
ERROR HANDLING
The module tracks the status of each invoice. The administrative panel displays the current process state: whether the invoice is being created, if the PDF has been generated, if the document is ready for sending, and whether it has been delivered to the buyer.
In case of an error, the error text is saved, which simplifies diagnostics and resending of the document.

Scenario 1. Invoice payment for a legal entity
The buyer selects a payment system. After the order is placed, the module automatically generates a PDF containing bank details, goods, and a QR code, sends it to the client, and saves it to the archive.
Scenario 2. Invoice only after order confirmation
The rule can be restricted to a specific order status. The PDF is generated only when the order transitions to that status.
Scenario 3. Different documents for different payment methods
A specific template and launch conditions can be assigned to each payment system.
Scenario 4. Large B2B orders
You can create a separate rule for orders exceeding a specified amount and apply a special PDF template to them.
Scenario 5: Invoice in the personal cabinet without email
The module can generate and save a PDF file without sending it to the buyer. The client receives the document via the personal cabinet.
Scenario 6: Accounting automation
After the invoice is generated, the same PDF is automatically sent to the buyer and to one or more accounting addresses.
